Harlequin Musical Theatre, Howick, Auckland are proud to announce that they will be staging the New Zealand premiere of RENT. Opens Friday June 23rd and runs for 2 weeks, closing on Saturday July 8th, 2006.
Auditions will be held at the theatre on Sunday February 12th from 1am and Tuesday February 14th from 7.30pm.

omg cool!!!! Will that be touring to Christchurch? I live in Christchurch and I would love to go see it!!!! I would never have thought to see anything from NZ on here. Cool, sounds great. Bummer I can't audition, I'm to young, 14.

Thanks for your comments. Unfortuneately it is not a professional production and thus will not be touring.
Maybe you could come up to Auckland to see it. as it is in the 2nd week of the school holidays.
Feel free to PM me if you want to be kept up to date with progress.
Hopefully more from New Zealand will discover this site.

im a HUGE fan of the harlequin theatre and the little music i have heard from rent, soooo, I was wondering if you knew what kind of age the cast is meant to be (im a couple of months of 18 ) and if auditions are open to public - or if there is a harlequin website

Great to hear that.

There is no reason why you can not audition. How you been in any shows or on stage ?

We have a website but for some reason I am unable to log on. Will check at tomorrows committee meeting and let you know.

Hope you are going to see "The Thrill of the Chaste" which is excellant.
