RENT DVD Release date for DVDHey Guys,
Apparently it's been confirmed that the DVD will be released on February 21st, 2006

Thank god as I found out tonight that the closest theater to me that is still playing the movie is 40 minutes away...And I can't wait to see the special features.

Yay!Oooh, I can't wait for the DVD release, I hope they have the filmed "Goodbye Love" sequence in some sort of "Director's Cut" version. . cuz that would be yummah.
I wish "Contact" had been filmed, they could have done so many interesting things with the "wall dancers" and the seperate apartment lovin's. .
Oh well. .

It would appear that in the UK we now have to wait until April for the theatrical release of the film. That's just so rubbish. I may as well buy the Region 1 DVD. In fact, one could pick up a digital copy from the guys on the street before then because the DVD will have been hacked by April.  How very stupid.

That's just insane... the movie comes out in the US 4 months before the UK? It's on DVD in the US a month before the UK even gets it in theaters?
I am so confused.

It's been promised that Goodbye Love and Halloween will be on the DVD. If they are not, I'll have to do some kicking of Columbus's arse.

The word is yummy. As for including the cut sequences as part of the film, Chris Columbus has already said that won't be a DVD option.

It was filmed as a number between just Mimi and Roger, but it was cut, and all indications say it won't be on the DVD.

I'm almost positive that Chris Columbus has said that Contact was choreographed and rehearsed but never made it to the filming stage.
