Reno auditionSo I'm auditioning for Anything Goes soon, I'm planning on going for Reno or Hope. Hope's type of character is familiar territory, but Reno is not so much. I was wondering people's opinions on Reno and if you think she should be auditioned with an accent? If so, any pointers on that? Any pointers on her in general?
Thanks

For Hope do something sweet but still kind of jazzy. Also something up in the higher range.
For Reno, no accent, just show a lot of personality and something to belt.

Thanks for the advice but that wasn't really what I was looking for. I don't need song choices..for our auditions usually our director just picks two songs from the character you're auditioning for as well as a few excerpts from the script to read. We don't prepare our own songs or monologues. What I was wondering is if I should read Reno with an accent or not..if so I'd like pointers on the accent. Also any pointers on her character acting wise. Anyone have advice that has played her or has played that type of character? (And if anyone happens to have any excerpts from the 1987 script from either Reno or Hope to give me something to work on..that would be fantastic). Thanks

That would be wonderful, I really appreciate it! If you are able, I'd love scenes for both Reno and Hope. Thank you!
