Rave Reveiws for Local TheaterI recently saw a production of Into the Woods and it was fabulous. It was a very, very small theater and they pulled it of fantastically. I, reliezing that a small theater had done it that well, was pondering the idea of a high school performing it. The only thing I noticed though was the hard music and complexity of the charators. Could an extremely large high school pull it off?

I think a high school could pull it off IF they have the talent for it.

My High School only did the 1st act, but i've heard of other High Schools doing the whole thing.

My University looked into doing it, but the simple fact of the matter is; it is possibly one of Sondheim's most difficult shows. If your school doesn't have the talent to pull it off, run a hundred miles in the opposite direction. My musical theatre society is made up of 80% trained singers, and we came to the decision that non-trianed singers would struggle way too much with the harmonies etc.

I recently did a production made completely out of high-school students, and we pulled it off incredibly well.

AbsolutelyI was the Baker's Wife as a freshman at my high school. Our production was amazing. If you have the cast and leadership that it takes to pull it off, then yes, you most definitely can.

My friend's school is doing it.... She's in middle school
We've concluded that the director is insane, but she auditioned anyway and got Cinderella's Mom.
