Rapunzel's Twins?I have always wondered what happened to Rapunzel's twins at the end of Act II. My thought was that they were raised by Rapunzel's prince and Snow White was the step-mother, but I know some people imagine they either died or grew up to become Hansel and Gretel or some other fairy tale characters. I know there isn't a set right answer for this, but I was just wondering what you guys thought became of the twins. Do you think they were ever reunited with the baker? Do you think they spent a lot of time with their other uncle, Cinderella's prince? Any other interesting interpretations of their story?
Thanks!

I'd just say that there were killed when the castle was destroyed by the Giant.

That's alittle harsh but if I would write it, they would have been reunited with the Baker and they would grow up and the boy would be named after Jack and the girl will be named Jill.
Alternate: I really like that Hansel and Gretel idea.
I just realized, what about the baker's daughter?!?!

Well yeah it is but for me with them being killed, it makes the story more darker, and I always say the darker the better.

Do you mean Cinderella's castle? If so, I don't understand why Rapunzel's children would be in Cinderella's castle.

The idea of the twins being killed by the Giant never really crossed my mind before but I've seen a lot of other people saying this. It's certainly possible, but how did Rapunzel's prince survive if the twins did not?

Have to say I've never thought about it before, but I do like the Hansel & Gretel idea.

I'm pretty sure she wasn't at the castle at the time...

I may just be spacy right now but where do we learn the sex of the Baker's child? He always refers to the babe as his "child", never his "son" or "daughter" ("no one to mother my child...", etc.).

I'm pretty sure it's a boy.
"Hold him to the light now/ Let him see the glow/ Things will be all right now/ Tell him what you know"
"Like his father/ Like his son will be too/ Oh why bother/"
There might be more but that's just what comes to mind.

Sorry to be stupid, but who wasn't at the castle? Are you talking about Rapunzel not being at the castle or her prince?

Oh ,she was in the woods screaming while her Prince was out looking for her.

The Baker's son is a boy. It's noted many times in the script.
And the twins would be in the castle because Cinderella is married to her Prince, who is the brother of Rapunzel's Prince, and I'm assuming they all live together, Rapunzel included.

"I cannot take care of him all of the time"
"I will take care of him when he is older"
"You know, you needn't hold him as if he were so fragile"
