R&H and Once Upon a Mattress?

Completely excluding the fact that Richard Rodgers' daughter wrote the music for OUAM, could Mattress have conceivably been a Rodgers and Hammerstein show? If it was, it would have undoubtedly been their lightest show in their career. And it's already kind of formatted like an R&H show, with two completely contrasting romantic couples. And to the naysayers who'd think that Larken's pregancy would have ruffled clean-cut Hammerstein's feathers, I remind you of Ado Annie's final scene where she has straw in her hair after Will's and her 'discussion'. So, what does everyone else think? Could OUAM have worked with Rodgers and Hammerstein?

You know, the funny thing about OUAM is that it's pratically a parody of R+H shows...

I think Once Upon a Mattress could have worked with R+H but as Converse said it's kind of a parody of their shows. Still, I think it could have worked if they chose to go with the opposite of their usual.
