Quilters?

Hellooooo,

Can anyone tell me anything at all about this musical? I know absolutely nothing about it. I just got an offer to be in it and would like to do a bit of homework before I accept. Smile

Thanks for any help!

There are several threads about this on MdN if you do a quick search. It's a lovely show, but I may be the only active member that has ever been involved with it. It's usually done with seven women - pioneer costumes - a mother and her six daughters. I love the music, and it's a very moving show. There is some rudimentary information about it on Dramatist's website, but it doesn't even have a cast recording.

I would do it if I got the chance.

Ahh, yes, I do not ever seem to like to remember to check for information in other places.

I'm 95% sure I'm going to take it. I'm just trying to dig around a bit first. Thanks!

If you do take it, and you get some video, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see it. It's been ten years or so since I've seen or heard anything of it around here. (I'm assuming you aren't anywhere near the Detroit Area for me to see this...)

No, unfortunately....I'm in St. Louis, though the theatre is in Kansas. Equity, too. Yay points!

I saw it, didn't like it. A few of the songs are silly, but most of the blame lies with the director. I liked some of the songs though, but by the end I was bored of the music.

It is a sweet musical, not the best around or anything. I'm sure it's fun to be a part of, because of the small cast size.
