quick question

if i'm auditioning for the scarlet pimpernel, should i refrain from singing something from jekyll and hyde because everyone and their mother will be singing from it?

It depends on what song from Jekyll and Hyde I guess. I mean you should try to do Wildhorn or something similiar, but I feel like every person at that audition will be singing Once Upon A Dream or Someone Like You.

That is sort of what I'm thinking. I fear that the CDs will hear those 2 songs 80 times. Which other Wildhorn show should I pull a song from? Would Dracula be too overdone at the audition or could I give that a shot? I know Civil War is an option, too, but I wonder if that music will be harder to get quickly...

Musical Theatre Anthology for Teens has Missing You from Civil War. It seems to be a great song for ScarletP.

I might choose a different song, yes...I don't know why, but I've been on an Ahrens and Flaherty kick lately...Some of their songs might work...

They are more modern and call for a nice mix-y sound like Scarlet Pimpernel...

PM me...I may have a song for you that NOBODY sings that Frank Wildhorn wrote...It'll be PERFECT!

OOOOOO, Hav eyou heard teh song Vienna, it is on one of Linda Eder's CDS. It is wildhorn so it has the same style and it is one of my fav songs. I actually really like the music for civil war, but even though it is wildhorn I think the sound and style is completely different. Howevere there is an awesoem song in it called Honor of your Name that rocks. Good Luck!!
