If that's the situation, I'd definitely take some off. ALL of the songs are fantastic and you'd miss a lot if you lose one.

But if it's the bonus track recording, you can lose the one titled "Sweet Polly Plunkett" and the live "Green Finch and Linnet Bird." Maybe "Symphonic Sondheim" but that one's really good.

Have fun with it! It's truly one of the best musicals ever made, I think.

hey, my local library has both the OBC recording and the movie soundtrack (johnny depp one)..... is the movie soundtrack beter than the obc in ur opinion... personally i found hte rent movie soundtrack better than the OBC because it was more polished. is this the same with the johnny depp movie?

The OBC is SO much better than the movie.

OBC > Movie anyday.

The movie soundtrack is quite an epic failure in comparison.

If I had to chose 5 or 6 track:

Ballad of Sweeney Todd (the opening)

Johanna (1:58 Anthony)

Worst pies

My Friends/Ballad (should be counted as one)

Pretty Women

Epiphany

Although personally I'd swap Johanna for No place like London/Barber and his wife (must be complete IMO), but Johanna is probably the most accessible song. Speaking of accessibility maybe it would be better to swap the Ballad for Not while I'm around. Hmm..too hard!

^ Exactly! Smile

Get the whole thing. Really, take some stuff off. If you still have the whole OBC of Cats, take some Cats stuff off.

Maybe that's because the OBCR was recorded in 1996 and the soundtrack in 2005.

And yes, the Sweeney OBCR is much, much, MUCH better than the movie soundtrack. Basically, any show recording > its movie soundtrack.

I say take some stuff off and upload all of Sweeney. IMO it's the most well-written musical of all time.
