directors - what do you look for when casting the role of Oliver? I have a daughter, age 10, going for the role (who already has a strike against her being a girl) and, aside from being loud enough and all the usual things, is there anything you could recommend? Anything in particular that you look for in this role? She has a great background in theatre and singing that I hope will help her. Unfortunately she has a minor conflict and would have to be late for one of the rehersal days, so I hope that will not hurt her too much.
