Question about Mungo/Rumple intro sung by Mistoffelees...Now keep in mind that I haven't seen the live show for years, and I've only seen it once as a non-die-hard CATS fan, so this may be a silly question.
But...
In the Broadway CD, Misto sings "The greatest magicians have something to learn, from Mr. Mistofeless Conjuring Turn..." right before switching over to narring Mungo's and Rumple's story. What does the Conjuring Turn have to do with the siblings, or is it more of an intro to Misto?

In the OBC (and part of the first year of the first tour) Mistoffelees sung Mungo and Rumple. The reason he sang the conjuring turn intro was because he 'magically' conjured Mungo and Rumple, and they were revealed by the car trunk opening, revealing the clowns of Mungo and Rumple.

Oh yes, I just remembered the key point of it...Misto is Mungo and Rumple's 'puppeteer'...they aren't acutally 'real'...he animates them...

Note that Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazwer were actually meant to look like puppets/clowns...
To my understanding, Mistoffelees did this as entertainment for Bustopher Jones.

How I wish I could have seen that the first year or two on Broadway!
However I did get good elaborations about the old number from Hector's first hand accounts. He used to get shivers when the intro came on: "The Greatest Magicians have something to learn, From Mr. Mistoffelees Conjouring Turn!"
