Putting together a medly...

Hi, I'm trying to figure out a medly for a collection of songs all in one run through performance-(like in Hey! Mr. Producer!) I'm not directing anything, I'm just trying to figure out what it would look like. It's kind of a dream of mine to direct something like that, and I'm trying to figure it out. The songs don't have to be a run through storyline, but I would like there to be some relativity in the tone of the songs while having a variety of shows....any ideas? I plan to make a mix once I'm done planning-no burning, except to make a mix off of what I buy, so I already own the albums and am simply putting songs from these albums onto one cd. (I don't burn. Cool )
Here's some of what I have....No particular order planned yet.
Musical Performance Medly

Les Miserables- Do you Hear the People Sing, One Day More, On My Own
Rent: Christmas Bells, One Song Glory, Rent, Seasons of Love
My Fair Lady- Never Let a Women in My Life, With a Little Bit of Luck
Carousel- If I Loved You
Cats- Jellicle Songs/Jellicle Ball, Memory
Oliver!- Pick a Pocket or Two, As Long as He Needs Me
Anything Goes- All Through the Night, You're the Top

Any suggestions? Please don't suggest what is simply your favorite song, suggest what you think would fit together.

Bit by bit, putting it together.
Piece by piece, only way to make a work of art.
Every moment makes a contribution,
every little detail plays a part.
Having just a vision's no solution,
Everything depends on execution.
Putting it together, that's what counts.

Sorry had to post those lyrics for some reason. The second I started reading this thread it got stuck in my head. I'm gonna ponder this over a bit, I'll get back to you with some suggestions (and my opinions on what you've got thus far).

at this point, your selections sound good. i've been to medleys before when everyone's looking around at each other because they've never heard the song before, and they're wondering what show it came from, but that doesn't seem like a problem since you picked well-known shows.
