Putting it Together

So my friend and I were browsing iTunes when we found the cast recording from a Sondheim revue called Putting it Together. Anyways there is a song called Game Sequence 1 that uses the tune of "What Would We Do Wthout You" and one called Game Sequence 2 that uses the tune of "A Little Priest", yet the words are very different than usual. Can anyone tell me a bit about Putting it Together and those two songs in particular?
Mimi Marquez

I don't know TONS about it, but it's being done at a community theater in my area. It's a revue of Sondheim songs with some lame plot thrown in there so the songs make sense. I know nothing about those two songs with different words though.

Sorry!

its a delightful revue...nothing wrong with it at all.

the songs you refer too are sung in the second act during a party game sequence. gotta love Playwright Chris Durang in that show!

Christopher Durang wrote it? I adore his play Laughing Wild. "I want to talk to you about life. It’s just too difficult to be alive, isn’t it, and to try to function..."
