PSD Club- Stories, whining, comfort and understanding

It's been a while since I've been involved with a show that I was truly sad to see end... but now I have, and am in the beginning stages of Post Show Depression.

You know how it is- you can't stop singing the songs, or thinking about the characters, or thinking about everyone you worked with. You wonder if it's too soon to have a cast reunion party, or if you'll ever have such a great bond with your cast mates.

Post your great memories, your "missing the show" woes, and other PSD related things here.

If you don't want to read anything potentially 'negative' or 'whiny', well... go to a different thread. Sometimes you just need to have a pity party and get it out of your system. Wink

Whenever I'm angsty, I'll know where to go.

Beagle On Stage

I have long since found that it's not the production I will ever miss. It's never my first, it's never going to be my last, and I know I will probably do the same show and even role again at some point. For me, it's the people I had fun being in the show with. And the beauty of that is that friendship doesn't end with the show, it lasts for a lifetime. So no PSD here.

Once upon a time, the Hollywood Bowl staged a production of Guys and Dolls about a month and a half after Ana's run finished. Ana went to YouTube to make use of the footwear, and found a video of Brian Stokes Mitchell as Sky Masterson, singing "My Time of Day." She clicked on it, and promptly burst into tears.

Oops. I guess I belong in this thread. Laughing

"Peter Pan" finished last night. I met so many great people I'll never see again as many are going off to college. I'm sure I'll keep in touch through e-mail with many of them. They keep telling me to get a Facebook, maybe I will, not sure yet. The cast party last night was great until there was a huge fight between me and a friend right before I left around midnight. I heard later in the party some random drunk guy showed up. Kind of sad I missed it, to be honest.

The show itself went the best ever last night, with great ad libs and our own twists on things. (Who was Nero? Nobody! Who was Bluebeard? Nobody! Who was (our director's name here)? Nobody!) We were dying of laughter backstage. Our director was back there too and was going, "I can't believe he said that!" between his own hysterical laughter.

DVDs and Photo CDs will be made, so I'm happy about that. I also got to keep my hat, shirt, and shoes from the production.

But I know I'm going to be a mess once I realize I'm not going to the theatre tonight... Crying or Very sad

I was just in the best production of my life and if I weren't already in another show that involves some of my favorite people from it, I'd probably be in pathetic tears right now.

Crying or Very sad It was absolutely phenomenal and I miss them all!

I saw Gypsy today, and it made me miss Miss Cratchitt and my mom character so much Sad

I've been looking at a bunch of Into the Woods pictures from backstage/onstage and it's making me miss the show so much. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad I'm going to miss that cast so much, they seriously were all super talented and lovely people-with the exception of like, two, and one who was fired and replaced with a much more talented and lovely person.

But..yeah. I might post some more backstage pics later just...because.
