Professional review of Broadway Gypsy

The New York Times published their review of Gypsy and theater critic Ben Brantley is extremely enthusisatic about the production, giving uniform praise to all the actors. Brantley says that LuPone has improved her characterization/acting drastically in 9 months.

Not sure how much I should believe theater reviews. But I tend to believe good reviews more than bad ones.

Oooooh this really makes me even more excited to see this production! It's so nice to know that LuPone has improved her take on the role.

i want to see this show only because it was one of my mother's childhood favorites.

but i still don't understand why people like patti lupone so much...maybe i'll like her better after i see the show.

Well there are two catagories. Rabid Lupone fans who would kill for her, and normal folk who think that she's a better singer than actor. But yeah you should go see it. [/list]

or those who think she started out strong as both and declined into self parody.
of course she always had terrible diction.
