I don't particularly like that rendition... it kinda loses its potency out of context...
Maybe I just don't like Barrowman that much... |

Never heard from Barrowman. I think he'd suit as Anthony though. Nice duet.

I hate Barrowman in this.
Hate. Hate. Hate. |

Ugh. Agreed. |

I remember two of my friends, after a production of Sweeney, entertaining the cast with a version of the song dedicated to their one true love, the women of porn.
"Titty Women," I believe it was called, and it was vulgar and hysterical to the extreme, especially because the music is so pretty and high-brow. I'd put the lyrics here, but I'm sure someone would be offended. |

Best thing about this song is that it was blended with the end of Have I Got A Girl For You... other than that, it's nothing special.

I love John Barrowman and this is nice enough out of context but I can't help but think of the context of the song and it ruins it for me.

You have to admit that Barrowman is amazing in Doctor Who though.

I love the character but unfortunately in the spin-off, Torchwood, all of the characters are as promiscuous as he is (more so in the first series) so he seems a bit rubbish. But yeah, I can't wait for the next series. Have you had the end of the last series Dawn? If so, you'll know about his revelation regarding the Face of Boe. |

I'm LOL'ing at just the thought of that. |

Uh. YAH. |

I love John Barrowman's voice (to me, he was one of the saving graces of the movie version of The Producers), and he's fantastic in Dr Who and Torchwood, but I don't really like this version of the song. It would be interesting to see how he got on with the role of Sweeney as a whole.

What about Timothy Nolen and George Hearn's version?
I think it's THE best version of Preety Women. |
