Hi everyone. I have never posted on these forums before, but I'm hoping you guys can give me some advice on choosing an audition song for ST.

It's a community theater production by a company I've never auditioned for. I am 27 years old and have a great resume. This company casts to age, meaning I'm too old to be Johanna and too young to be Lovett or the beggar woman. I would just like an ensemble role since I love the show so much.

I typically sing in the mezzo range. My usual audition song is "Someone Else's Story" from Chess, but I'm concerned that it's not a good fit for ST.

Has anyone else (female) auditioned for ST and if so, what song did you use? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend you posting this in the Auditions forum. There are some great people there who can give very helpful advice.
