Pirates of Penzance audition in 3 days!Hi, I am a soprano auditioning for Mabel in Pirates of Penzance! Does anyone know her highest note in "Poor Wandring One"?

I do not know beacuse in every production I have seen, Mabel has ad libbed up as high as she can sing. I've seen a mable go up to the E two octaves above middle C.

In the version my school did it was printed as D flat, but we changed it because our Mabel could go higher.

The highest written note is a D-natural. However, in many productions, the MD will have her "improvised" cadenza at the end of "Poor Wand'ring One" top out at an E-flat.
