I want to be in pippin sooo much....

It's my least favorite musical I've ever been in. I don't like the music, and the show itself is pretty boring. I think the only real standout is "Glory."
LaurelDP

I saw the crappiest, most self indulgent production of Pippin where all the actors were selfish and going for inappropriate laughs and adding unfunny jokes.

It's scarred me.

My school did Pippin sans orgy scene. Glory was definitely the highlight for me. Otherwise, I didn't really enjoy it.

Haha, ours was really severely edited. We had a cool orgy-esque part in it, but it was cut and ended up turning into what we called "the spousal abuse dance."

Heh heh... gotta love those uptight fine arts directors. I'm convinced that's the real reason why we're not doing Chicago. Couldn't get the rights, pssh. =D

Lol, our drama teacher doesn't seem to want to do anything without at least some sex in it... (We've done Chicago Razz)

Nobody likes "Magic to Do"???

This has been one of those musicals that I have known since I was born. I really only like "Magic to Do". Though I don't mind "No Time At All".
Matthew

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Theo. So much.

The nat'l tour with Goodspeed was pretty fantastic.

Ours was turned into a gogo dance.

I saw it at Goodspeed and loved it. I didn't know they had actually toured with it already though. Do you know anything about how long/how successful the run was?

Pippin was a BLAST to perform! Our staging was very "mature audiences only" and I definitely had to warn my dad ahead of time for the orgy scene, but oh my God...it was SO. MUCH. FUN!
Monsieur D'Arque

Oh? Please describe. I'm always very interested in unusual or different ways to stage Pippin.

Pippin is my second favorite show. When I directed it. My kids fell in LOVE with it. Now, every show we do, when I say. "lets work the finale", the students who were in it always go "the finale pippin, the finale". I LOVE PIPPIN
