Just finished our run of Guysand Dolls (last night, in fact). I took a couple photos, which is tragically small, since I'm a clarinet in the orchestra and played for about 99% of the show Smile

There may be more to add later. Enjoy!

First up, My People. i.e. the orchestra
That's Tim (trumpet) on the right and Davis (clarinet)i.e The Greatest Freshman in the History of the Universe, on the left. They're playing on Mike's piano. He doesn't like that Razz

Richard, another clarinet (like me!) We call him Dick. He threatens to shove used reeds in creative places XD
Missy, a violin. Her boyfriend's a dick.
Davis again. He and I are both obsessed with our iPods.
Mike, our accompianist and, for this show, our conductor. A supremely cool individual.

Our show this year was High School Musical and not nearly as fun

Maniacbob, I love your backdrops. They remind me of classic animation.. like Looney Toons and such.

Maniacbob, those sets are so awesome! They work so well with the bright costumes (which we were rather lacking, save for Havana, the Hot Box Girls, and Adelaide's many costume changes). I'll try and see if I can scrounge up some of ours, but at least in the third cast pic I posted, you can see a bit of the sewer backdrop for Crapshooter's Ballet/Luck Be A Lady.

what_the_heck013, you didn't have a student orchestra? LAME. That must've sucked so much. Did you have to use prerecorded tracks?

My school has 2 students in the orchestra. The rest is all professionals. Yeah, that's how we roll.

Thats so weird
We atleast had a band
We dont have a proper stage though its so annoying
For G&D we convert the commons area, the massive lobby in our school into our theater using the drama room as our back stage area we built the stage and the there and used three sets of blechers for seating and set up moving backdrop system and curtains to conceal the sides
Its pretty bad but funny as well

Okay to celebrate the one year anniversary of our Guys and Dolls production
Yesterday was one year exactly after opening night
So I decided to post up a few more pictures of our show for ya'll

Okay so this is our sorta back stage area behind the white wall on the right is our drama room where most ppl hung out, you can just barely see it on the left but that little wall is the back of our New York back drop, the ropes you can see worked pulleys on the roof that would move the NY back drop forward and back and then the rest of the backdrops would be wheeled in on our adapted scaffoldings, The lighting there is our cyke lighting
