parade audition

i'm auditioning at an open season audition for a theatre nearby at the end of the summer. the only show i know they're doing is parade, which i don't know much about. i've been trying to look but haven't found much. i'm 21, an alto/mezzo, and a dancer. are there any parts in the show i could be considered for? i appreciate any help you can give.

You could try for Lucielle Frank, the female lead. He sings pretty middle of the road but sometimes reaches high the range. She is also supposed to look young. She doesn't dance much though.

Mrs. Phagan or Lizzie is a possibility too. Mrs. Phagan is a supporting role who sings a beautiful, yet biggoted song during the trial called "My Child will forgive me." Neither doesn't dance that much.

Depending on your choeographer, there may be little or a lot of dancing. Best opportunities are during the trial (End of Act 1), "Where Will You Stand When the Flood Comes" (Middle Act 2) Pretty Music, (Act 2) Also "How Can I Call this Home" (Beginning Act 1) and for teenagers/Young Adults "The Picture Show" (Act 1)

Below are links to reviews from the production I was in... they should help outline the plot of the show.

thanks for the information. the theatre is a regional theatre, so all casting will be age-appropriate. i'll look into all that stuff you posted, thanks so much.
