Our set design/ general costume ideas

We always have kick ass sets, but this is bloody awesome!

The stage is empty except for 5 doors in a semi-circle. BEhind these doors are smoke machines, so whenever they open you can't see ebehind them. Each door tells a part of the story. For example, one door can be removed where bars are behind it, for Johanna in the assylum.

One door also doubles up as the mincer. On one side of the frame is a large wheel, and on the other side is a funnel out of which the meat comes.

Anyway, above each door is an empty fish tank. Howeve,r when Sweeney first kills, each tnak slowly fills up from blood dripping from the celiing (the holes will be positioned so that blood goes ONLY in the tanks, not on us!) When Sweeney reaches his Epihany (sp?), the blood begins to boil. The blood continues to rise, bubble and smoke until the very end, when they are over-flowing.

Make sense? If not I'll explain further later!

COSTUMES

For the prolouge, Sweeney is dressed in red, and everyone else black (the cotsumes are still period). As the show goes on, the company slowly change from black to red. Each person has a chart for each scene, so, say, in Act 2 Dc1, I have written down 40%red cotsume, 60% black costume.

By the epilouge, the company is dressed in red, and Sweeney compeltley in black.

I'll exmpain this again if anyone is confused!
