OUAM or Anything goes...audition help.so my drama teacher has not yet decided on our school musical, it is between once upon a mattress and anything goes. i'm hoping for once upon a mattress because my school is not a strong dance school, but we have alot of great actors and some strong female singers. assuming we are doing OUAM, i'm wondering what i should audition for and further more what song i should do.so i'm a mezzo soprano, that is starting to learn to belt, but my voice teacher is easing me in to it cause she doesn't want me to hurt myself. i have a rlly broad range however, like low e below middle c to high b flat two octives above. I don't think i'm ready to fred, and i rlly want larkin, the queen wouldn't be so bad either. which should i go for? |

If you're not ready to belt, then I'd avoid Fred like the plague. Larken's highest note is an High A flat, so unless you can comfortably hit all her notes, then I'd go for the Queen, the ladies in waiting or the Nightengale. |

once upong a matressyea i can comfortably hit the a flat. i was thinking i would avoid fred cause i don' think i can do her justice at all. Larken is the most suiting to my personality, and my look. So with that said song suggestions? and maybe some song suggestions for the queen..and if anybody knows about anything goes can they give me some advise on who t go for?.. i'm not much of dancer |

Check that for song suggestions. Try the Anything Goes forum on the site for that show. |
