Original Broadway Carbuckety and Pouncival?

I was glancing over my Broadway images and found one that I had labelled in which I was guessing who the characters were. I'm pretty sure the one in front is Pouncival and the one behind is the little seen original Broadway Carbuckety. Can anyone confirm?

Also, in the following picture, is the one between Munkustrap and Cassandra here in front Carbuckety? If not, who is he?

Additionally

I would also like to know who the light colored cat is between Coricopat and Tantomile and Jellylorum. The Broadway colors have always given me trouble.

Etcetera.

The male cat in that finale shot is Carbucketty. I could never pick out one from the other on the Bustopher picture, though.

the little boy in the front with more elaborate make up is Pouncival.
The bolder make up (big stripe from his nose, down around the muzzle/across the cheek is usually what I look for - also, he sometimes has it almost perfectly half/half with one side being distinctly yellow-gold and the other beige or grey, aside from the white muzzle, but the Book pictures are generally too muddy to pick this out) is recognizable as Steven Gelpher (sp?) who played Carbucketty until Mungojerrie became a "chorus" role with its own non-song costume.
ETA: His unitard also generally has a tell-tale "stripeyness" - bold black diagonals that both Pouncival and Tumblebrutus lack. You can see some of it in the Bustopher shot, on his upper arm, and in the second posted shot across his chest.

Unfortunately my caps from the Tonys are on the other PC and I'm not up for recoverring any of that data for a few weeks yet. I'll try to slam the DVD in and get you as clearish shot of him in costume if I get the chance today.

That's Etcetera. The costume is defenitely the one that evolved into the later Rumpleteazer. I've got a head shot of her somewhere...

k, some quick & kinda crummy shots from the '83 Tonys - apologies for the quality, already muddy footage + WinDVD's less-than-sharp capture feature (I miss my ATI card Crying or Very sad ). Anyhow, highlighted Etcetera and Carbuckety where appliccable, as well as Pouncival and Tumblebrutus for comparison.

Dunno if that helps anyone's reference, but there ya go Wink

Thanks *asterix*! Those are lovely to see! Wow... If I could give the whole BWay cast a cheeseburger (a piece), I would... such sharp cheekbones (although the makeup probably isn't helping), but dang, one could cut diamonds...

Feh! You still manage to get better photos than the original Broadway brochure! Laughing

Hey *asterix*, did you tape these from 1983 when they were actually on or did you get the from the Broadway Treasures DVD?
*asterix*

A lovely lady & fellow fan in quebec sent me a tape several years back which included the tony awards clip, as I was not yet born in 1983 and lamentably unable to operate a VCR from the womb Wink

... But I also bought the broadway's lost treasures DVD when it first came out, cuz that thing is gold & good for more than just the CATS stuff (Angela Lansbury in Sweeny Todd or Joel Grey MC'ing Caberet anyone?). I need to get the other edition(s) when I'm more sure of my "trivial stuff" finances.

Referring strictly to the captures , I have a bunch taken both from the tape and from the DVD (albeit floating around on a drive I can't access atm), and due to the nature of ATI tuner & programs I was using at the time, they're of mostly comparable quality since even with DVD restoration, the older Tony's footage ain't great. The specific captures in this thread were taken off the DVD via WinDVD's capture feature as I recently switched systems to facilitate academic and professional needs, and this box came with everything I wanted except an ATI card & the appliccable program liscences, but was still cheaper than a piece by piece build...

Here's a good face shot of Etcetera. We can see the barest beginnings of later Rumpleteazer in her.
