oops...Last night was opening for my school's production of BATB... and wow... the title says it all lol, but I really believe it came out well, and the audience loved it, which is what really matters!
I will post pics soon, but in the meantime I was hoping that all of you wonderful MdN'ers could tell me about the crazy situations you've not quite overcome in your BATB shows... I am really truly freaked out about this show, I have done shows that had some mishaps, but seriously, the kind of stuff that happened just... doesn't happen! At least it shouldn't! lets just say... I'm not putting videos on youtube. Ever. lol...

I just re-read my last post and I guess I didn't make it clear enough that I was aiming for another 'blooper' thread...

oh well!
But on second thought let's just drop it, because I think that there was another thread on this awhile ago... oh yes, that's right, there was! And then someone mistakenly started a new one and got... typed at harshly at (i dare not say yell and allow room for THAT argument again...)
but thank you for being supportive and positive! I really needed it!

Okay slow your role! I think Luc was confused because you just said "the title says it all" but you didn't actually tell us what happened that was so oops. Why don't you relate some stories to us about the embarrassing events in your production? I think we all were confused by the post.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but during a tech rehearsal for the production that I was in our cheesegrater got hit on the head with one of the house drops from the village. It was actually quite amusing, and he sat out the rest of the show. The only bad thing that happened after that was that no one told his dance partner in Be Our Guest that he wasn't there and she fell because he wasn't there to catch her at one part.

One night during our run, our Beast was getting a costume snag fixed and missed his entrance in the West Wing in the scene leading right up to the title song. Unfortunately, the tech people weren't aware of this, and the lights came up on the West Wing, where we had a Cogsworth and Lumiere---but no Beast.
Our actors covered it well, though.
Cogsworth: You'd THINK he would have been ready on time tonight.
Lumiere: Oui. At this rate we'll never be human again.
And so on until the Beast was able to make his entrance. It was cute, and it made all of us laugh backstage.
