So, I'm participating in a musical theater revue type show this spring, and I would like to sing "Happily Ever After", from Once Upon a Mattress. Do you guys think that the song would make sense out of context in this type of format?

Just as an FYI, there is a forum for Once Upon a Mattress. I think you'd get more replies if a mod moves this for you or something.

But anyways: I think this song could work great in a revue. It's meant to be Fred kind of singing to the audience, and you don't really need to know the rest of the show to understand it. It's a cute song, and can be really funny and entertaining to the audience if done well. It doesn't show off vocal talent too much, but I just love this song, so I'd say go for it.
