Okay for kids?

Well, as some of you probably know by now, I am officially in my college's production of OUAM and I'm hoping that a lot of my relatives will come and see me. But there's one thing I wanted to check on before I invite one person. I'm very close with my 11-year-old cousin Zach, and I'd love for him to see me in it, but I wasn't sure if any of the dialogue or content would be inappropriate for him. Any comments/info would be appreciated!

well I saw it a while back when I was twelve, and as long as your sousin isn't a sheltered child, I'd think it's okay:)

I'd say it's pg. You've got Larken's pregnancy, but the most she says about how it happens is that they climbed the hill and watched the sun go down. And Man to Man talk, which should be funny and clean so adults and kids will laugh, but it depends on how the scene is done.

Othan than that, it's fairly clean. No swearing or violence.

Lots and lots of innuendo, but we had a wide variety of age groups enjoy our show, so I think it should be okay.

Yupyup, it's all good. A family show, IMO.

My kid was 13 when she was princess #12. My then 11 year old watched it with no problems. I'd say go.

With innuendo, does it really matter? If they don't get it, they won't be affected, and if they do get it, they're not being more corrupted than they already were because they already knew about it. So no worries on that. I think you'll be fine.

Funny story, my friend did this show at our theatre school a long time ago, and one parent complained when she heard about the pregnancy thing, so they had to cut that from the script. Luckily it was only a half hour version so a lot of stuff had to be changed anyway and it didn't completely ruin the plot. But really, people need to be a little less sensitive when it comes to content in plays.
