Ok, what lucky so & so got to see Idina's FINAL performance last night...?

I could only get a couple of tickets for the mantinee yesterday (30th DEC).
Having said that, it was a truly fantastic show in itself... The cast were pranking around loads, especially Adam Garcia, who was really 'haming' everything up!
Idina had a couple of 'giggle-fits' in the middle of some serious scenes, especially in the classroom scene!
She had another moment right at the very end, when she reveals herself to Adam... Being sat in row A of the Circle, I couldn't tell if she was crying or laughing!

"Defying Gravity" was as good as I have ever seen & heard it... "No Good Deed", was as 'wicked' as ever & she also played around with the "Wizard & I" in Act 1, with an amazing twist of the notes at the end, causing the front row to go totally crazy before she had even finished the song... At times it was like a concert atmosphere, superb & truly memorable!!

I was just very interested to know if she played things a little more safely in the evening show & took fewer risks with her notes, as it was her last show & last chance?
Also were there any announcements, a speech or a presenation at the end of last night's show?
She got thrown a huge bunch of flowers at the end of the matinee, so I would presume the 'die-hards' of the front row, had something special lined up for her last night!
By the way, that young girl in the 2nd or 3rd row who was completely sprayed green & dressed in Elphaba's classroom costume, should get a special mention... Good for you, you looked, erm... "WICKED!!"

Anyway, would love to hear from anyone lucky enough to see last night's performance & just wanted to post a special "Thank you" to Idina for giving us all a real treat in the West End with her consistant enchanting performances...
Loads of luck in your future projects, you'll be greatly missed here!!

Ps: With an outrageously hard act to follow, I wish Kerry Ellis all the luck in the world & I hope she proves me wrong when I say... 'Now Idina has left, the show will NEVER be the same'!

I went to her final final performance in the evening and she was phenomenal. Truly amazing. And such a lovely person too, you could understand if someone so "awesomely talented" (to quote Helen Dallimore's speech for Idina) knew she was, but meeting her at the stage door, she was so down to earth and lovely.

Wow I would love to meet Idina. I've only met Bernadette Peters and that was when she was in Gypsy.

I met her after I went to see Wicked on November 25th!

She was lovely too. We had a little chat.

I was lucky enough that my friend got tickets for Idina's last show and it was soooo good. I think Idina seemed to be holding back a little during some of the songs but when it came to the big numbers (i.e. Defying Gravity) she was amazing and the audience went crazy. There were lots of bouqets and Helen Dallimore's lovely speech, which I believe is already on youtube.

Outside at the stage door was a bit crazy, there were so many people there and I was elbowed out of line by two middle aged women trying to nudge each other out of the way so I had to go to the back of the queue to get my poster signed!

Awwww very lucky Hasn't she gotton so much better lately! I went on 16th December, and every song suprisingly was flawless!! I'd never heard her sing so well! All the videos on youtube are always a bit :\ eh. There is a no good deed one that amazes me I've tried to belt though, it's very hard and i think being able to do that every night is incredible =| Americans!! You have her back! Treat her well!

I'd say new yorkians but i'm pretty sure she's gone to los angeles or something now?
