Yeah, I saw another article claiming that. But the article I read also said that they'd contacted the studio, which had vehemently denied that any such thing was taking place.

Take it with a grain of salt, folks, and don't freak out until it's confirmed.

I am worried enough for the movie just because of Depp. I mean come on! Does he REALLY have the voice to be Sweeney?!? He doesn't look like a Sweeney either in the tradition sence. ei. big build, talk, pale (which really insent a problem), and scary.

Sadly, Depp is without question Todd. All our fears remain unallayed. It's worth a trip to the IMDb Todd message board to see the bloody battle raging over Depp's (in)ability to properly portray Todd. I, unfortunately, have developed a seething hatred of the waif I at one time respected as a talented actor.
