Obvious audition tip 101

Even if you emailed a digital copy of your headshot/resume, BRING A HARD COPY TO YOUR AUDITION!

1. Directors do not want to keep track of your paperwork for you.
2. Attachments don't always arrive
3. If the attachment DID arrive, the director might lose it before the audition, may not want to waste the toner to print it out, or it arrived garbled.

I have one actor who showed up, who I cannot remember what he looked liek. And I cannot find the email with a resume attached (only his audition time request. And I'm more organized than many directors.) Moral- bring your own paperwork, and bring an extra copy, just in case.

Thank you! (so wierd to be directing again!)

You need to write a book of all of your helpful audition threads, opheliarose. Nothing like making money off of other people's ideas! Rolling Eyes

yeah i just might have a creepy little internet girl crush on her. she looks and seems to act a lot like an old acting coach of mine whom i idolized.

Whoops.... I didn't mean it literally... just thought it would be interesting to publish a book of the audition threads you started on this board...and since others have contributed to them, you are using some of their ideas....

(OK, maybe I just think its funny... there was an episode of The Daily Show where he was interviewing an author who collected letters from other people, put his picture on the cover and made a LOT of money from it. Jon was more than happy to point that out.)

Huh. Thought I replied but it didn't go thru.

Anyway...it's all cool.

(Writing a book or a research paper is my secret theory behind the DoM!)
