Obscure songs for WomenWhat are some less known songs for women who are mezzo-soprano. I can sing pretty low though too and getting higher with my soprano range. Any good rogers nad hart or anything?

Good, rare songsRodgers and Hart have a lot of great "lesser known" stuff.
* Falling In Love with Love - The Boys from Syracuse (cynical)
* Little Girl Blue - Jumbo (sentimental)
* Where or When - Babes in Arms (romantic)
* Sing For Your Supper - The Boys from Syracuse (cute and lively)
* Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered - Pal Joey (mournful, bittersweet)
* To Keep My Love Alive - A Connecticut Yankee (hilarious)
* The Gentleman is a Dope - Allegro (down on men, very fun and cute, shows wide range) (Rodgers and Hammerstein)
Hope this helps. I'm also a Mezzo/Soprano and I can sing these, so they're probably in your range. I'm a big musical theatre buff, so if you want more suggestions I'd be happy to help. You can probably find clips of most of the songs at bn.com or amazon.com
good luck

Hey thanks Sarah
I just found a song i've never heard at auditions that I really like.
It's called "Once You Lose Your Heart" it's from Me and My Girl
It's really pretty it goes to a few high notes. It is in a soprano book. But it's really gorgeous.
Who Will Love Me As I am from Side Show is pretty too.
Found some good ones in those Singer Anthology books for Musical Theatre.
I just got all the cds for all the books. You don't get the books with it though. But even if it does cost quite a bit it's nice to have accompaniment that's perfessional.
Thanks for sharing those songs with me! I hope we can talk more.

Those Singer Anthonolgies are brilliant. Check out "Ruthless" and "Is There Life After High School?" for obscure songs for ladies.
