Poor Gretl....left out.... 
I really can't pick a real favorite, because I was just the TD for this show at a high school, and all the kids rocked! They were all high school kids...we didn't borrow younger kids...and it was incredible to see their characters develop. They acted like real brothers and sisters, which was hilarious. It even happened in the halls at school. They'd start messing around like real siblings, and the kids playing the Captain and Maria would come over and break it up. How funny is that? 
Okay, but I did vote for Brigitta, because she's hilarious. She's the mouthiest one of the bunch and she cracks me up.  "I'm Brigitta, she's Louisa. She's 14 and you're smart. I'm 10, and I think your dress is the ugliest dress I ever saw!" LOL!!!!

Definitely Brigitta! But why did you leave Gretl out? She's my second fav just cause she is so cute and that is the second role I ever played in a musical hehe

It's so funny that there's a post like this becasue this was often a topic of conversation at our rehearsals. I played the Captain, and i would always say who was my favorite child... of that day. LOL... just thought i'd let you all in on that for some reason lol...

For me it has to be a tie between Gretl and Liesl. I always loved Gretl cause she's SO darn cute! And I've always loved Liesl because of the romance. What can I say, I'm a sucker for romance!

Kurt is definately the best (I was cast as him) because he has that really funny high note in So Long Farewell.

Yeah, but when I was in this a few months ago as Kurt, I hit the high note and it was great!

I totally agree! GRETL IS SO CUTE! but i really like liesl because of her romance, song, and her personality!

Brigitta is my favorite as far as who I would want to play. But I also love Marta -- she wanted a pink parasol! (I always loved parasols and always wanted one). I like Kurt, too. He's funny.

I love them all!
I have taken a liking to a particular character, depending on the performance. For instance, my favorite kid the first cast that I did it with was Gretl...The second cast of kids was Brigitta...and the third cast, I really liked Marta...
But they all have their shining moments!

Liesl is my favourite. To me, she's the one who chnages the most, we see the most growth in her. And the romance, who doesn't love a good war time romance?

I played Gretl! xD She's the best one ever. Marta is probably the worst kid, she's extremely boring and no one knows anything about her.
Liesl is overrated... She has too much drama in her life. She should be on Laguna Beach and not SoM.
