Poem Critique

This is a poem I wrote for an assignment. All my mother would say is that it was "interesting". It's supposed to be an object poem, so I chose the stage of a theatre (a specific one, but that's not really necessary to know). What do guys think:

A hardwood base
A pillar and second level mounted flat
Steps descending at every angle
Big flat steps to sit down and die on
Small staircases to scurry down and hide by,
Macbeth’s gleaming dagger hidden behind your back
And four black doorways, yawning in your face
This is Neverland; this is Once Upon a Time

This is the house of Baptista in Padua
Where Viola woos Olivia in her black mourning veil
And sweet Ophelia is buried under the trap-door
Her pretty garlands dripping wet around her neck
This is Illyria, England, and Italy
This is Neverland

This is a manor-house, a castle, an enchanted forest
This home to the Faeries, the Townspeople and the Chorus
You are their guest for an evening or an afternoon
They don their doublets and their top hats and their togas
And, with a grand flourish of a hand, announce
That the play has begun
WickedToo

I liked it! Very Happy
