^^ Sad Sorry about your friend, Catherine. That's so sad.
mezzo_soprano

So sorry.
sweetsoprano

I'm so sorry, Catherine. That's so sad.

I have a really hard time shopping too. My waist/hips are a size zero, but even zero longs are too short on me. I really need a 1 long, but most stores don't make 1s, so I have to get 2s which are too big in the waist and a little baggy in the legs. I never can find a good fit.

It's the painting from Sunday in the Park With George, actually. Close though! lol

I'm so sorry Catherine. That's awful!

On the subject of shopping, I just came back from looking for a bathing suit. AND IT WASN'T THE MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE EVER. I found one that actually fits, and I walked out of the mall with the same amount of self-esteem as I had going in. Perhaps more, even.

I have FIVE new vids on YouTube, all of which were done out of crazy boredom and are wonderfully mediocre. Still, you should check them out!

Brock07: I'm def. checking that out...I didn't realize that it was part of SITP. Guess I'll have to listen to that more carefully.

...Mizzie: mediocre? What is one of your most amazing videos?

I leave my grandparent's house tomorrow. I'm excited yet scared. I'm happy because I get to go back to 42nd Street rehearsals on Tuesday. I'm scared because although I'll see my grandparents when they visit Holland in September with one of my aunts, who knows what will happen from now to then as well as I have a loooong talk with the guy i like/one of my best friends sometime soon.

My lesson plans are due in less than 10 hours and I'm NOT DONE. Oy. Really, I can just do like five because I'm doing the same thing over and over but with different songs everyday. I'm also attempting to find materials to order, since I got my budget, and I have $250 to spend...and have found one book and one CD, totalling up to $34.95.

And I'm attempting to watch Sex and the City at the same time AND I have to wash my hair and straighten it and pick out my clothes and manage to not chip my freshly painted nails.

I just saw "The Godfather."

Someone please tell me I'm not the only one who wanted Michael to be shot in the face by the end of the movie. Or who was elated when Santiago was killed.
Amber

I AM SO EXCITED.

Tomorrow, after I go to the bank, I will be traversing over to Ticketmaster.com to buy an August 3rd, 2008 @ 3:00 PM ticket to Young Frankenstein. It's Megan Mullally's last show and it'll be amazingggg.

Also, I just wrote Patti LuPone a letter. I'm going to send it tomorrow. Yay for being productive!

Also, also, I just finished watching Passion (the DVD version with Donna Murphy). DONNA MURPHY is PERFECTION, and the musical made me sob like a baby...also, Jere Shea has the most amusing crying face I've ever seen. Smile Marin Mazzie is also super.

Shocked Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin will be performing songs and scenes featuring choreography by Ann Reinking at a college theatre about ten minutes away from my house.

And i have no way of getting the money to get a ticket! =[

Patti LuPone always overcharges when she performs at colleges.

I wondered if anybody went to her "Coulda Woulda Shoulda" performance at my college at $150 a ticket.

The piano line in "In whatever Time We Have" is so beautiful, and the deep chords right before and underneath, "From this day forward..." to the end of the song give me chills everytime Smile

I just played it like five times.

Too bad the rest of the song is all flipping tied eigth-notes and I can't play it at all. Not to mention the fact that you need giant hands to be able to reach the gaps between the notes >.<

I am going to see Wall-E tonight! FINALLY! It's sure to be amazing.

Hey guys, I'm back!

I haven't posted for a while... the first week of June I was on a cruise, then I had drivers ed every day all day for a week, starting the day after I got home, and then I taught bible school at my church for a week, and I JUST NOW got home from a MT camp. I'll post more about that later, I guess.

SO, what's been going on?
Joshua

I got a summer job!
I work for this really wealthy guy from my church. Me and my brother work for him. He pays us 10 bucks an hour and we work 5 hours a day, 3 days a week. That's $150 a week! After 3 weeks I'll have enough money to buy that Nikon D40 I want. Plus I have a birthday/4th of July party on Friday which should hopefully bring in about a hundred bucks.

My brother and I got stuck in major traffic today. Luckily, his car has one of those fold-down screen thingys, so we just watched My Fair Lady the whole time.

On a completely different subject, Fiddler auditions are coming up soon. A friend of mine has decided to sing If I Were A Rich Man for auditions, because Tevye is his dream role. Love him to death, but he is so NOT Tevye. He's an allright singer, but for Tevye you really need to be a fantastic actor and he's just...not...

I'm gonna feel really bad if (or when...) he doesn't get the part...

NoOneMournsTheWicked

So dress shopping was a complete bust.

I managed to get my friend's birthday present, but my other friend refused to look for dresses. First, the Forever 21 we went to was only taking cash, not credit or debit so she didn't want to shop there (even though there was an ATM 20 feet away). She didn't want to go to another Forever 21, so that was a bust.

Then we went into Ann Taylor and we found a gorgeous dress that would have looked adorable on her, but she said it wasn't 'her' and wouldn't even try it on.

curlyhairedsoprano91

So I'm in the middle of a 1-month rehearsal period for Fiddler, and I've been really sick for like ... 4 days. And so I drugged myself and went to rehearsal for a day, and then I lost my voice (due to sore throat and such). So now I'm really hoping I can go back tomorrow if my fever comes down and my throat clears a tiny bit. But ... all I have to say is, I wasn't thrilled at being cast as Fruma Sarah. Considering the circumstances and how many rehearsals (out of a 20-rehearsal show) I've had to miss ... thank god for a tiny part.

Yes. Charles made it for us. And it was called "A song for Joshua".

---------------------

I am so indecisive! I can't decide between the Nikon D40 or the Pentax K200D. Well...I know which one I can afford and which is better, but I don't want to have to wait another 2 weeks before I get to buy it.

So here's the Pros and Cons:

NIKON D40

Pros:
-Smaller body
-more light-weight
-Has the Nikon metering system
-Is the most inexpensive DSLR on the market.
-has good in-camera editing
-Has up to ISO 3200

Cons:
-The camera doesn't have dust protection, Autofocus motors, or Vibration reduction in the camera body. The AF and VR are in the lenses which make them cost about twice as much as Pentax's.
-Not all of Nikon's past lenses work with this camera. In fact, very few do.
-Only 6.1 MP (which I know doesn't normally matter for amateurs, but that's only if your printmaking. I need hi-res for graphics and such.)
-2.5 Inch LCD screen on back.
-can only shoot up to 2.5 frames per second.
-3 point autofocus system
-Can only use its rechargeable battery (that's just a con for me because it's not as versatile that way.)
-Has no LCD screen by shutter release button.

PENTAX K200D[/size]

Pros:
-2.7 inch LCD screen
-10.2 MP
-Shake redux, Autofocus motor are in the camera so lenses are really -cheap.
-60 dust seals make the camera weather resistant.
-11 point AF system
-Tells you when dust is on the sensor
-Is compatible with all Pentax lenses ever made.
-Has Pentax's own Sv Mode (Sensitivity priority mode)
-Has 16 point metering
-Has an LCD screen by shutter release button.

Cons:
-Doesn't have Nikon's legendary metering system
-Costs about 250 dollars more than the Nikon

Wow after writing all of that out, I realize the obvious choice. lol.
