Better than Gemignani's "Ho Ho Ho!" He sounds like Santa.

Aw, mastachen, I'm starting to get the idea that you aren't a big AG fan...

Hehe, I went and listened to that, too. Yeah, the hohoho is extremely bad... but the cackle is so much more startling and... loud. He sounds like... Gaston. Like, "Hynyah huh huh huh!" and then kinda goes, "whooo," at the end...

(Also, listening to the revival after hearing the original made me flinch like I was having a seizure at the HORRID Young Cosette and, of course, crappy orchestrations... I HAVE NEVER REALISED JUST HOW BAD THE ORCHESTRATIONS WERE UNTIL THIS DAY.)
curlyhairedsoprano91

Which horrid Little Cosette was this?

There was one I showed my brother on YouTube ... he hates it sooo much when Little Cosettes belt ... and she was singing for like 5 seconds before he said, "Shut her up. Please. Before I hurt something. Or myself."

It was a shame, 'cause she was hitting all her notes, but she was an AmericanIdolWannabe!Cosette instead of ... a Cosette!Cosette.

I actually don't know which Young Cosette... it was March 3rd, 2007...
Fantine

One year ago.

*sigh*
curlyhairedsoprano91

I fangirl "Javert's Intervention" on the CSR.

QUAST.
Mistress

Hehehe...we should totally start an official MdN Philip Quast Fangirl Club Mr. Green Laughing

You can fangirl his Intervention, but I get his Suicide... Mr. Green
curlyhairedsoprano91

'Kay, you can have his "Suicide," but I get the "reprieved" as sung on the TAC.

And I'm all for this fangirl club.
Mistress

Does this mean I can have his low F in Confrontation? *puppy eyes*

Yay for the Quast fangirl club! Where shall we begin?

I didn't think the revival had a decent Valjean til Drew Sarich stepped in. It went uphill from there.

Both times I saw it, I thought Marissa McGowan outshone the 'stars' of the show: Lea and John/Judy.

Mm ... I guess. But I get the "M'sieur le Mayor" in all its sexy sarcasm.

We should make a new thread devoted entirely to Quast. And maybe another one devoted to JOJ.

*gleeful spam*
Mistress

Sweet...shall I begin?

(I'll do Quast, and you can do JOJ if you want)

Of course. Is this even a question?

...
...

Or do you mean starting the thread?

d'oh! *scrubsbrain*
lesmisloony

Soprano, my darling, you just made me lol and frighten my roommate.

I meant start the thread...but you can do JOJ too, if you wish...just let me have his vocal chords. Laughing
lesmisloony

Hafta add, as much lovehate as I have for Terry Mann (and, when it comes to LM, it's mostly hate) I actually really like his Intervention the way I saw it in 2003.

"Ah-hhhh no-oooooo th-eeeeeer brawlinthesquare" etc. It was a neat way to start it off, I thought, and the first time I'd heard it done that way.
mastachen

My DVD of Les Mis with Marissa McGowan as Eponine just arrived! Drool

I don't know if she is the same one, but I've just been watching february 7th 2007 and I feel like murdering that young Cosette. Brrrr... just when you feel relieved because Daphne Rubin-Vega is FINALLY dead, you start wanting for someone else to follow her into grave Evil or Very Mad
Orestes Fasting

March 3, 2007 was a Saturday, so it could've been either Kylie Liya Goldstein or Carly Rose Sonenclair depending on whether it was evening or matinee.

When I saw DRV perform, the little girl next to me hated her just as much as I did. When she returned for the finale, I actually heard her whisper, "Help me." Quite amusing from a seven year old.
lesmisloony

Hahahaha I want that kid!
