Uh, attacking other forum members is against the rule. But if you read my post, I didn't say that any of us were giving you any constructive criticism. I believe Annie and Fantine were, but according to them, you totally ignored it. I merely said that nobody feels bad for you.

So before you go calling other people dumb and start shouting at me again in all caps, you might want to read my post. Otherwise, you really shouldn't be calling people dumb. (I mentioned 'constructive criticism' only once in my entire post and it was like... one of the first sentences)


And before you go "everyone's attacking me also," you should really understand the motivation behind everyone here. We're not here to put you down, mainly to tell you that being a Silly Girl is nothing to be sad about, and that you should really stop being so dramatic, shape up, and act mature. You post to truly attack people. You're in such a hurry to use the f-word and calling me and Matthew and Trevor dumb and dicks that you obviously don't read any of the posts, or not straight through anyways.

ok whatever i know that but you still did mention and to that sftball girl i asked for ADVICE not to say im horrible and never to do theatre again.. and today in drama i tried to go in with a positive attitude and now theres like 5 silly girls and hes giving away the like 5 lines i have ok whatever im over it now im dealing with my part im not whinnnning gsigdskjgnsdjgkldsk

so thank you to everyone who told me i was horrible or whatever it helped me so much PLEASE keep posting on my wall

I really don't understand why you feel the need for that sarcastic attitude.

And now that there's five silly girls, there's more people to make friends with... look on the bright side of things! Maybe your Gaston is too good looking for 3 Silly Girls.


And there is another thing that's bothering me. This actually affects most new members but we still bring it up, but notice how every other post is correctly punctuated and we have capital letters where they're supposed to be? Yeah, please do that. Oh yeah, another thing, this isn't facebook. It's not your wall we're posting on. We're posting on a public forum.

And really, with all the negativity you put forward in the beginning of the thread, I'm not sure why you're so suprised its coming back at you. It's good that you tried to go in with a positive attitude today. Try and keep that up!

Having just randomly read this thread (I never come on the BATB forum), I feel I'm reading a different thread to you unwritten. You're attacking people who aren't actually saying anything you should take offence to.

The people you're attacking are long established members (try coming to the social club) and I feel I want to defend them against you because we all kind of know each other now and as much as I know their faults I also know that they don't deserve your bile - they know what they're talking about (Especially SuperKabob who is possibly one of the kindest, level-headed and mature people on this board - MdN).

I teach singing and have students as young as 6, up to mid 40s - my 6 year olds wouldn't whinge on like you have - none of them would. I wouldn't cast you as Belle. I wonder if, without full commitment, you're strong enough for a Silly Girl. Myself, I'd want to play a Silly girl over Belle - but I find characters like hers very boring...but that's just me!

I would seriously advise you to not put yourself in to this world until you've learnt to deal with rejection - if you can't, please take yourself away because this business claims more victims than victors.

unwritten - the grammar thing can seem really arsey at first, but if you spend any real time here you'll find that posts/posters with bad grammar stick out like a sore thumb - mainly because they're not actually very easy to read. Come on here everyday, read a lot of posts and you'll find that with the sheer volume of the posts you have to read just to keep up, posts with little or no punctuation, text speak etc become intensley annoying.
Strange but true - I've seen people join who type some of the most untelligable stuff on this board change the longer they are here and even start ni-picking on other people's posts.

(I am fully aware of how much bad spelling and grammar there potentially is in this post Razz )

But I AM sorry your part is now getting smaller. I think there was a girl on here who got a made-up featherduster part that basically took all its lines from Babette's. It's stupid and thoughtless of the director to do that to someone after the performer has already agreed to do that part.

(If you knew that this was possibly going to happen, that is a different thing.)

I'm playing Babette right now, and if the director tried to give one of my lines away, I'd be upset. I mean, she doesn't have that many! I'd speak to him about it, calmly and openly, telling him that I was surprised and shocked that my chances to perform were being given away, and asking him if it was somehow due to my not acting/singing/dancing the way he'd like.

I think people are usually less gung-ho about downsizing people's roles when they know that person notices it and takes it to heart. I mean, theatre is brutal and (get ready for it ...) PEOPLE GET SCREWED ALL THE TIME (!!!) but a director will be less inclined to rip your heart out if he can picture your sweet little face all scrunched with pain.

WOW ... this post got way violent. Whatever. I'm soooo tired right now.

Again -- was it mastachen? or whoever -- sorry I bitched you out. You seem nicer than I thought you were. (But please don't pick on people who say they're depressed anymore!)

Yeah, I'm that girl. While I don't agree that the director was being stupid and pointless ((she consulted with our Babette to make sure it was ok. I dont want to start another rip roaring convo about how devious it is that my character took all of its lines from Babette. I. Dont. Care. I love and respect my character and now that the show is over everyone can forget about it.)) I certainly know how it feels to suddenly have your part get smaller...and smaller...and smaller until you are undoubtably frustrated beyond belief. But stick with it, it's the little things that make parts great. You'll find ways to make your part special specifically to you-the director may even surprise you with a few ideas as well. You're barely into rehersals yet: there's a LOT to be said for post-audition rehersals. They are so much fun and trust me when I say that you will find things about your character that you love with a passion.

I think I know how to solve this... we'll do six shows a week. 4 evenings and 2 matinees. The boys can split the matinees and the girls can each have one evening performance. When you aren't Belle you're a Sillygirl, I figured since the boys were already wearing dresses they'd be okay with this. Very Happy
