I think I'll be auditioning for Brigadoon in the fall, but I am hearing that it's pre-cast. You gotta love it.
MaryMag

evvvvvvvvvvverything.

soon as i return to my hometown, i've got to beg theaters to let me audition for them cuz i missed their season auditions while studying here in new york. these next 5 weeks will determine if i do any paid work this year, essentially.
Nettik

Possibly Seussical in September with a company I've not performed with before.
DaddyDiesel

I am going to audition for I love you your perfect now change in september. A split decision I just came up with.
Brigantine

the next ones will be for Oliver! in august, and then maybe something else in the fall, dunno. Not a whole lot of options around here!
it's very depressing, really....

My next audition for is for Into The Woods that a summer theatre camp. I'm really hoping for, and would probably be the best fit for, the Witch.

After that... nothing for like 2 years because I'll be in college and they don't let you audition for anything until like the last term.
highkick49

Well, I don't have anything to audition for for awhile, because it's summer and schools out of session, but I'm spending all summer preparing myself for auditions for Dog Sees God, because I really want to play CB and I think I really feel like this is one of the first lead roles I can really handle. So hopefully things will work out with that one.
Brigantine

Wow, when it rains it pours!

I've been lamenting my limited opportunities, but through some networking, I dug up a small new theater production group, and also auditions for an existing group, but one I wasn't sure about working with. I met people from both groups, and now have 3 show opportunities! I'm just trying to figure out if I will be able to do all three shows! If these work out, I'll be doing theater through the end of October.
littlemisstheatregirl

Well it looks like my plans have changed thanks to vacation schedules...now I'm free for the summer. Sad

Fosse and Fame in the fall, Midsummer and Godspell in the spring.
kozafluitmusique

Gypsy!!

...in August.

But i'm not complaining because I'm in a show now.

Ha ha I didnt see this.... I ended up getting in the show and its a paid gig. The kind of theatre is debated up here. Most call it a semi professional group.

I have another callback with the same group coming up for a show called "Zanna Dont!" this sunday.

I kind of dislike season auditions to an extent. Mainly because they give you one song to sing for several shows. So when it comes to multiple shows its difficult to show differant styles.

I hope you here soon.

I need good thoughts/prayers/karma right now!!! After wrapping Les Mis (ensemble) and doing an intensive week of vocal "boot camp" for show choir, my voice is kindasorta suffering. I have two different auditions coming up with theatres (both community) with which I've never done a show. The first is a Sondheim revue and auditions are August 12 and the second is Fiddler on the Roof and auditions are August 29th-31st.

Vocally, I'm just taking it easy and trying not to freak out about my Sondheim audition. Thankfully my song is easy on the voice (No One is Alone from ITW) and I've been downing lots of water. Basically, I just need everyone to keep me in their thoughts =D

I have an audition this Sunday for Seussical. It's a cold reading and singing a song they choose from the show, very laid-back. They aren't the most professional theatre group, but it's the only production i have time for this fall.

I'm going for the Cat or Gertrude, but I'm possibly also going to audition for Mayzie.

I'm a little nervous about it, because I don't know which song they'll make us sing, but I've listened to the OBCR and found the licensed script online, so I have a good feel for the songs and characters.
Quaxo!

I have auditions for Willy Wonka Tomorrow for my HS. It's Gonna be So Much FUN!!! The director changed our Winter show from Aida to Into the Woods! I can't wait!

The thing that has me really fired is this girl who wants to be cast as Willy Wonka. I know she's good, but with so many VERY Capable Male Candidates, It's never gonna happen. The lucky thing is that she loves Acting and Singing so much that she would take any role. I could see her being cast as Charlie, but even so, There's a perfect guy for the job. He's a Freshman, And I know he would be great, but Because the girl is a sophomore, I'm afraid he might get gyped out of it. END RANT.

Got a Hair callback Saturday. DYING to do this show. It's with hands down the most presitigious company in my state.
music is my life!!!

I've got a guys and dolls audition at school in a few weeks (most probably!) and hoping for Sarah... if i don't get it, and get chorus, i'm not sure whether to stay, cuz it'll look good, and it'll say "okay, she can dance as well as sing, beucase GandD is such a dancey show"

le_moofin

I have an audition for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever coming up... super cheesy show but I want a main role. Although, since it's with my high school, that might be harder to get. Blegh. Send me good thoughts please!
Quaxo!

I was cast as WILLY!!! OMG! I'm soooo Happy I could burst and all that! It's time to get to working hard and trying to make this the best Willy Wonka there's ever been! Very Happy
Gwen

So I don't mean to necropost but this was the first thread I thought of to put this:
I have discovered a role at Theater in the Round for a show called The Devil's Disciple, and there's a character called Essie who is 16-17 years old.
Twisted Evil I smell an audition leading to a possible role...
