 Last nights show really annoyed me!
ALW is crazy saving Lewis, he can't sing that well, he looks like a girl. Daniel was 10 times better than lewis and he looked right for the role of joseph.
ALW keeps saving the blonde ones and it's not fair on the others. Lee was great asusal but I don't like the way ALW treats him, he's fantastic and deserves to be Joseph.

I just got to watch the videos for show 6 online tonight. The Bring Him Home song was clearly in Daniel's favor. I can't believe that Andrew saved Lewis over Daniel after that performance. Online they don't include the commentary afterwards, just the singing itself. What exactly did Andrew say before he voted off Daniel?

It was something about Lewis having a spark and Daniel, although he should have stayed in the compitition longer ALW believed he wasn't going to win in the end. but he had a long career ahead of him etc.

Fair enough but I would choose Daniel because he has such a normal life. He surprised us all by being angry in the previous week but Lewis was dry as a dishcloth last week. If i was ALW I would have kicked him out but it was his choice in the end. Either way, they both have great careers ahead of them.

Actually Daniel was at GSA (Guilford School Of Acting) and was in West End and touring shows where he understudied for Russell Watson (spelling?!?) But the BBC made out he was an office worker which he was but only part time... VOTE BEN FOR JOSEPH.... Youth, Vitality, Energy, Talent and AMAZING stage presence!!!! What more can you ask for?!?!

I was watching the extras DVD of The War of the Worlds concert and saw that Daniel understudied ALL the male roles. It wasn't just Russell Watson (who's a complete arse btw).

as ALW stated, Lewis would make a great pop-singer but i (along with alot of you guys, i think) feel he hasn't got the stage presence OR the ability - dramatically OR vocally.
Actually i wasn't to upset but Craig's departure because he should have gone weeks ago when Chris B went out! 
BTW, do you guys believe in the curse.... of the coat?

Ok, I don't really like Ben or Craig that much. I think Craig has had a harder time of it than Ben but neither are Dreamcoat material in my eyes.
But did anyone think it was a little unfair to kick Craig out last week?
Ben mucked up on the notes at least three times in his song.
Craig was not named by the panel as the worst Joseph that week, Yet Ben was by two of the panel.
Craig was thrown out for smiling in his song, something he should have really had underwraps but "The Lord" had already said he would forgive Craig for it.

Yeah, But in all fairness how hard was Ben's solo (Crying- Roy Orbison) especially with his range (I have the same singing teacher he had when he lived in Scarborough and she was appauled at the song he was given as it didn't fit his voice type at all.which is lower than mine i can sing to a G# above middle C with struggle) so it was hard for him! and Craig didn't act his song at all! At least Ben did! plus Lee's always been given songs to "play it safe" Even though he is awesome! But do you not think he's a bit too polished? I do... AND WHY IS LEWIS STILL IN!!?!!? WHAT DOES THE LLORD (haha get it?) SEE IN HIM!!!

I get your point, Ben's song was very hard compared with Craig's, but I still wouldn't want to put him on a west end stage with a voice that is so unpradictable. note I didn't say bad, cause his voice isn't, its just unpradictable, sometimes great somethimes not so great.
I suppose if he got Joseph he would be singing the same songs every day so it is unlikely he would lose his pitching, but it would be something I'd worry about if I was "The Lord"
With Lewis, I think his look is the thing getting him through the most. he fits all the criteria they asked for at the beginning of the show in terms of looks. someone not dissimilar to David Beckham or Justin Timberlake.
but I don't think he'll last next week, unless he's extremelly lucky.
With Keith, he's just a little too baby faced and he has a terrible diction problem in some songs. I don't think he fits the cirteria of the part like the other three. I suppose he'd look better if they got him on the weights and the protien shakes to bulk up a little. he's just a little too thin and looks weird in the loin cloth challenge.
With Lee you know if he had the part of Joseph he's be consistant each night. and seeing as he has west end experience he knows what he's letting himself in for more than the other younger josephs. for example if Keith or Lewis got a negative comment in a review it could throw them, especially Lewis who has little emotional strength when it comes to bad comments. Lee looks like the sort of person who could move on from that.
and how can someone be too polished?

Ben should of been saved, he has much more talent than lewis and Lewis looks too much like all the other west end Josephs, i thought Andrew was looking for a different Joseph this year.
I predict that next weeks show will go like this:
Lewis comes in third
Keith in seconed

i hope so! Lee has the public behind him but Lewis was in the sing-off for weeks in a row so he should be gone first. In relation for what you said, lou, I think that you're right in saying that ALW was looking for a new kind of Joseph but i think he wants Lewis to win cuz he's blonde! 
Anyway, if i were to be in Andrew's position I probably would have saved Lewis too because he is annoyingly perfect.

I think "The Lord" saved Lewis because he is a lot more reliable than Ben. Ben can have some fantastic weeks and some week that are not so good. and if he is doing eight shows a week you don't want Ben having say two of those performances each week not being as good. At least with Lewis he knows that all of his performances will be of a similar standard.
However, seeing as Lewis has been in the sing off for multiple weeks I think he is going to come third. I think Lee is going to win however it is always possible for Keith to sneak past him, however much I don't want that to happen.
I think ALW wants Lee, but will the public give him what he wants? and if they don't will he just give Lee some of the performances anyway, like he did with whats her face last year.

ALW knows that Lewis can get very emotional at times and yet he still saves him, Ben was a strong person and if the show got bad reviews Lewis probally wouldn't be able to handle it as the judges said last night.
If ALW just saves Lewis because he's blonde that would be favoritism.

Ben is emotionally stronger than Lewis, but Lewis' voice is more reliable.
not better, just more reliable. like I said before Ben can have fantastic weeks followed by not so good ones. and ALW is looking for someone who will be able to pull off eight shows a week.

LEWIS looks like a Joseph. It's just a question of whether he could handle the pressure etc
Keith is amazing don't get me wrong. I just don't see him as a Joseph in comparison to Lee
Lee would be my Joseph. Despite a few hiccups he has continually shown how great he is. Also i think he is the best actor no doubt.
I am glad Ben got knocked out. I feel he should have been a whole lot earlier and him as Joseph? No. If I personally had to watch a whole 2-3 hours of him, I could not handle it.

I really can't see Keith as Joseph - him and Lewis should go off an form boy band IMO...he sings well, but he acts nothing. Lee is just, well, wow. Had to stand behind the bit of set were the Josephs sit for most of the night, so got some good leering in...

I've never understood why Andrew kept saving him because as you said wicked_boy he hasn't got the state and ALW wants his show to be the best, yet he saved Lewis over some of the more talented people like daniel.
Did you know that lee, keith and lewis were recording songs from the show for children in need and whoever wins the show will be put ino the final children in need single.

btw lewis, if you do read this i think you're fab but i don't think you're right for jospeh AT THE MOMENT. lee, i think you are ready to take the lead as a full-time actor and not just lurking behind the curtain. keith, i think you will make it in theatre but i don't think joseph is the part for you, although your acting is frighteningly convincing so you will make it in theatre. best of luck to you all, if you read this. if you don't read this, it was probably a massive waste of time to write...

Lee was the most deserved winner.
Had things been between Lewis and Lee, it might have been more interesting because Lewis was the pretty blonde Vs Lee's pretty brunette. Poor Keith really didn't stand a chance when it was down to him and Lee.
