"Think of Me" lyrics question

Okay, so I saw the film version of PotO in January 2009. Then I saw the show on Broadway in April, and noticed that the lyrics to "Think of Me" were completely different onstage than in the movie.

Does anyone know why this is so? Thanks in advance for your reply.

What do you mean by "on stage"? Do you mean you've seen it live, or are you referring to the OLC?

The lyrics for "Think of Me" has been altered many times, it seems like either the author or composer never was fully satisfied with it. There's also been verses that has been redone and later changed back to the original. Not to mention the Sydmonton version, which was totally different than today's version!

The movie used more or less the lyric Sarah Brightman sung in West End in 1986. The current stage lyric is not totally different, but some lines here and there are changed. I've posted link to three different versions underneath, I think they should be labelled correctly (although in the "current version" I must add that in Vegas they have changed yet another line... Smile )

Several of the songs from this show have changed over the years. It's not an uncommon thing with musicals. Get multiple recordings of any show and you're bound to find changes have been made between them.
