song that sounds like SUN AND MOONI like kims part in SUN AND MOON but cannot sing it for an audition as it is a duet. Does anyone know any songs that sound the same? Have the same kind of gentle, loving melody?

You could try "The sun whose rays are all ablaze" from Hot Mikado/the Mikado.
No-one is alone from into the woods is nice
How Many tears from Martin Guerre would probably be best as it's the same writers...

not that girl from wicked is quite possibly the easiest song ever. dont get me wrong, its beautiful and my favorite song, but its right in the middle range of any female singer. plus the melody is very simple. if you're looking for a more complicated tune and duet you could try take me as i am from jekyll and hyde. i would personally rather go for dangerous game, but it is by no means "Sweet"
hope it helps, and i would try to conquer sun and moon just for your own benefit.

Sun and Moon can very easily be tweaked into a solo piece.
I have seen it done before.
Please don't do Wicked, and Sun Whose Rays is much higher than the Miss Saigon piece.
I would highly recommend singing it as a solo, it isn't overdone and if it fits your voice, do it.

yes, you can do that without changing hardly any of the words... especially if you don't finish out the song

Re: song that sounds like SUN AND MOONActually, there is a reprise version of Sun and Moon sung solo by Kim. I think it's on the 1995 CD recording of Miss Saigon since it didn't appear in the original London Cast recording.
"You are sunlight and I moon
joined by the gods of fortune
midnight and high noon
that's what we are
how in one night have we come so far?"

I suggest you sing Reflection from the motion picture Mulan. Not the Christina Aguillera version but the Lea Salonga one of course.

...and it is also a duet. The suggestion of the reprise of Sun and Moon is a good one - although it is rather short.
