Baby Juneish???I'm playing annie in a musical review and I'm also playing baby june. My director wants me to play them the same, squeaky voice and all.... does this make any sense to anyone else??

It only makes sense if your director is smoking crack!
Annie should not be played with a baby-girlish squeeky voice. It goes completely against what her character should be. Annie needs to be tough and strong. Baby June has had her mother fighting all her fights for her her entire life; Annie has had no one but herself.
Grrr! That really makes me mad that your director is so clueless!

Dear, I think you're the one that's clueless here. Or it might be me.... , but I think she's talking about the voice for Baby June.

Well she did say that the director wants her to play both roles the same in regards to the squeaky voice. So one would assume that meant her director suggested she use the voice for Baby June AND Annie.

Never mind, then.

Don't play Annie with the sqeaky-voice. Annie is eleven. Baby June is 5. Annie is independent because she is an orphan. Baby June is dependent because her mother has been fighting all the fights in her life, as LisaKitty said.
