MISS SAIGON in KOREA

MISS SAIGON will be staged in Korea for a limited run starting June 2006. The libretto has been translated to Korean. Majority of the cast are Filipinos Laughing Laughing
The Very Angry Woman

That's not what I remember reading in the Korea Herald when the news first broke about the cast. (However, it's subscription-only now and bugmenot.com is no help.) I don't remember seeing one non-Korean name in the cast.

Michael K. Lee, who is Korean American, has played Thuy in the US and is playing Chris in Seoul.

Do you have a link to a cast list?

No official cast list yet. But I know for a fact that many of my filipino friends made it to the Korean production. You would be interested to know that Cameron Mackintosh put up a "Miss Saigon School" in the Philippines.

Michael Lee is in the cast, a shoo-in for the role of Thuy.

miss saigon in Korea

After the tedious auditions held in Korea and in the Philippines, Miss Saigon Korea has opted to cast using only Korean Talents.(with the exception of a Filipino Resident Choreographer) That's what we were told in an e-mail sent to those in the shortlist by the local contacts here in the Philippines. Yes, I was part of the Shortlist and we aint seeing Filipinos in Miss Saigon Korea... I hope this enlightens you... Idea
