Born2bamneris

I played Miss Hannigan this past decmeber, it was fun but by the end of the run i was so sick of the show and i will never do it again
OneSongGlory

I'm playing FDR/Man#1/Man#3/Bundles. Pretty much, I got Warbucks stolen from me, but whatever.

This show is sooo horrible.
Kulmbo

Mr.Bundles
Pubgirl

Miss Hannigan - sooo much fun!
norayouadora

I played Duffy when I was about 10 or so... I had maybe like five lines, but it was still a pretty big deal to me back then. Very Happy And my best friend at the time was playing Annie, so she made sure that I got stage time with her and whatnot. Hehe.
Lottie_Angel_Of_Music

...

Ive been in annie twice. The first time i played Annie and the second time i played Miss Hannigan
Arix

I'm gonna be playing an NYC person, Hooverite and an Orphan.

i played Lily and it was so much fun!
bwaybrunette21

Annie! It was one of my favorite roles, not just being the title role. I had the part in seventh grade but if I auditioned now, I'd probably want to be Lily. Actually, maybe Grace because I'd want a bigger singing role. But Lily seems really fun to play.
LisaKitty

To date, I've never done this show, but I will be playing Lily later this summer. We start rehearsals on Monday. I'm really excited, because I think Lily will be a complete and total blast to play!

lulusuga

Oh & Annie.

Am so sick of the show lol
d'oh!
Reds

My first ever stage role was Molly.
Tiny-Tot

This is my 3rd time playing Annie. And I still love it.
bwayblonde21

I am auditioning for Annie soon! I would love to get it. If I don't, I would probably want to be Kate, Tessie, Pepper, or July. I am probably too old for Molly and not big enough to be Duffy.
stlgurl702

I've never been in annie but I am annie in a musical review. I get to sing tomorrow and the director's dog is going to be sandy. Its rumored that we're doing annie next year at school, I hope we do because I'd probably get Miss Hannigan, because I'll be in 8th grade and I'm one of the "top two" Musical theatre people. The other one is sure to get grace, and I'm tall, fat, and dance like I'm drunk.
musical4eva

i'm playing frances perkins. i got hte part today

broadwaybabe40

Tessy

I played Tessy, loved the part and the dead mouse. Would like to play Annie eventually but I'm starting to get a little old (17). However I am very short though. lol.

Loved NYC and Fully Dressed!
MsDivaKate

I've never done the full stage version but I've sung the roles of Molly, Annie and Tessie in various musical reviews when I was younger.

Oh how I love this show.
Trevor

The first time around I was Mr. Bundles.
Second time through I was Bert Healy.
Third time, I was Rooster.

Never doing the show again. d'oh!
Sean

I have never done the show but I always wanted to play rooster!
Marcellus

Mr. Bundles / Bert Healy. Healy was the easiest role I ever played - script in hand the whole time.
Msterope

I was Mrs. Greer.
it's kind of ironic, because my mother's name is Greer. *giggles*
When I told her, she just stared at me with amusement in her gaze. Smile
aechjay

I was an orphan with alot of singing parts. I was the next choice for Annie, but my best friend took it, and then proceded to tell me how much she didn't care. The first in many things that she would try to put me down. I am no longer close to her, though I have gotten over the Annie issue (it was like 6 years ago)
so_chic_doll

we did this play last year at my high school.

i was an orphan/chorus/sandy understudy.

haha.

some of the girls who were cast as lead orphans and such were only casted because they were in gymnastics, and so they could so tricky flips and such that normal people can't. hahaha.
theatreislife1017

I played ANNIE in ANNIE last year:D
it was my favorite role ever and i love it!
Lullaby

I was a Boylan Sister and Star-to-Be.
BroadwayBeast

I played a random bitler, but still had a blast.
Glinda Upland

I started off a sophie, and then I was switched to Molly, because the who played her got sick. I was in 5th grade!

LOL. I'm short, average, and dance like... well.. I dont exactly dance, it's more of moving to the tempo of a beat lol.

I played Lily when I was in 5th grade. It was a lot of fun and it was my first time being in an actual serious for-real play.
Luc

Warbucks. Lots of fun. Applause
Asha

I'm playing Annie right now. Our first practice is Tuesday.
lucebarker

RobDruryLane

Played Oliver Warbucks twice (once in Annie and once in the sequel Annie Warbucks). Shaved my head both times!! Really enjoyed both parts, and it was good to get the girl in the end lol
Baker

Rooster Hannigan.

lol, thanks!
missywhitney

I'm playing Miss Hannigan...opposite Asha, here. Though, since we're already friends off-stage...we tend to just crack up laughing at the most inopportune moments. Like when Annie and Hannigan are supposed to have one of those wonderful show-downs?? It's impossibly funny.

Uh...and if this message posts twice...sorry...I tried to post it once, and I don't think it worked... Very Happy
Broadwaybaby2822

Annie has ALWAYS been my dream role since I was 6! And FINALLY I got to play Annie this past February, I'm 13 and in the 8th Grade =].
Outlast717

I am currently playing FDR and Lt. Ward in Annie. We havent started practice yet, but my past experiences with this director tell me I'm going to have a BLAST!
audreykrelbourne643

I was Pepper. It was so wierd, cuz in real life I'm a very sweet person, and I can't stand being mean to anyone, but somehow the director thought I'd be a good "tough girl". And she was right-it was the wierdest thing, but I found my inner "tough cookie" (that's what I was told to be like) when I performed. I think Pepper is a great role. Characterization was pretty easy-bitter, angry, but inside very needy, wanting nothing more than to be loved and accepted, but since she can't get that, she settles with being feared instead.

Broadwayfreak: I would personally love to see a male Star-To- Be. I mean, why not?
MusicalGirl

I was an Orpahn when i was in 4th garde
and Mrs. Puhge when i was in 8th garde
KaytenMD

I was in Annie in sixth grade.. I played Annie! Very Happy It was definitely my dream role.. I'd been singing the songs since I was two, and was so excited to be able to play Annie for my first show. Unfortunately, it was also my middle school's first show (in over fifty years, that is) and since they didn't know how successful it'd be, they only did one performance. They also cast two Annies. Blah. So I got to do the second half [muaha, because I was the favorite!] along with playing an orphan and doing chorus numbers in the first half. It was disappointing not to be able to perform the first part of the show, but I still enjoyed it a lot. I just wish I could have had the chance to do the show again elsewhere, but considering I'm nineteen now, even if I get the chance, I definitely won't be Annie the second time around, haha.
tilltheworldexplodes

pepper, i was 10.
first show, last time i will ever be in annie again. =]
but just so much fun as a kid, really.
gummibear

I was the Dog catcher. I wasnt to thrilled with that part Sad
aljsummerall

Miss Grace
It was such a fun show:)
drama_queen_3009

I played Lilly when i was 17 i had a blast such a fun part to play i love character roles, would definatly play the part again although i would love to play Miss Hannigan, im a bit young at the moment but hopefully in about 5-10 years my am dram group will put it on and i'll be in my eliment then hehe!............................. (always always wanted to play annie Sad but alas at 21 that ship has sailed for good boo hoo Sad maybe i should create a really funny annie with the characters age's reveresed so annie and the orphans are played by adults and the likes of hannigan and walbucks r played by children hehehe that would be brilliant!!!!! what do youy think??)
That High Soprano

When I did Annie,my freshman year of high school, I did it with a brand new theater company so we actually had multipul parts.
On track I was Grace Farrel
Off track I was Mrs. Pugh and Ronnie Boyland
lilmissbroadway

I was an un-named orphan in 6th grade and my mom was Grace. Funnest show together(we've done 2 other ones together) Smile
deGREENIFYme

had been an Orphan when I was in 4th grade d'oh!
Timaeus

Was a hobo and Bert Healy. Then our Daddy Warbucks dropped out one week before the show and I took the role, even though it would be my first musical ever. It was a success minus the awkwardness of moving on stage. Very Happy
Luc

*can't remember if I posted here or not*

I did a really fun summer camp and did this show. It wasn't "real" theatre, so everyone had a minimum of two parts - one for each act. In Act I I was a homeless man (Hooverville), then I was Warbucks for Act I as well. In Act II I was just a servant, and McCracken (the guy with the dummy on his lap - we had so much fun with those roles)!!
wicked_boy

I'm in Hooverville and I'm a servant.

Sarcastic "yay me".
jackissensational

Ever seen a man play Ms. Hannigan in drag?
Luc

I want to be in Annie again, as an adult, to be in the Hooverville chorus. No lie. Also, I want to be Lily.
wicked_boy

Serisouly, the Hooverville dances are rubbish.

The servants are kinda cool.
iheartmusic2

I was Annie.

Looking back on it, it's all sort of embarrassing. I was so young. But at the time, it was the best experience of my life.

Someone mentioned Hannigan in drag in a previous post. I had an audience member come up to me after the show once and ask me if our Hannigan was a man. (She wasn't.) I think maybe the person had seen it done before or something, because otherwise that would just be such a weird question, right?

It'd be sort of fun to be in the show as an adult. It's really a musical for kid performers, but I think Grace is a really sweet part -- and Hannigan rocks.
Pepper Hannigan

I've played Pepper thrice. I want to play Miss Hannigan, after aging a bit more.
wicked_boy

Woop! Found out yesterday I've been "upgraded" to Drake, as the person playing him droppped out.
Katecute92

1St Time- Tessie
2ND Time- Drake
I wish I can be Annie!!
wtfchuck

I'm auditioning on saturday, going for warbucks.

I'll keep you posted.
Elphaba22

wtfchuck

I didnt get warbucks,

i dont know what i did yet, but its not warbucks (that went to the theatre managers son? hmm suspicious)

i'll update when i know my part.
Lotte@}---

I was Grace, but had a smaller part because my music teacher didn't have enough time to practice the songs with me Neutral
PersianGoodBye122

I played Miss Hannigan. And I can say that that role was one of my favorites.
