O/T - Twilight Zone ExperiencesI have recently become addicted to old episodes of the Twilight Zone. I'm curious as to whether or not you guys have had Twilight Zone experiences (not necessary ghost story, just weird things that happen to you).
I have had a TON.
1) My first one was when I was pretty little, maybe four or five. I was sitting in my room playing with Barbies and I suddenly looked up at the doorway and saw ME watching myself. I don't know how I knew, but I was sure it was me. I looked away for half a second and "I" was gone the next. The creepiest part - not only was the person I saw me, but it was me as I looked when I was a little older. I realized it a while ago when I was looking at slightly less old photos.
2) At night my computer screen is always bright enough to light up the hallway outside my room a tiny bit, until the screen turns off and everything is totally dark. For some reason I always open my eyes to look into the hallway a second before the screen turns off.
3) I get deja vu so often I sometimes genuinely believe I dream about things (like, little scenes/pictures/conversations) before they happen.
4) Sometimes when I'm thinking of an episode of a tv show, it'll be the next one I see!
5) My aunt has the creepiest one...pretty soon after my Granny (her mom) died, my aunt went to go visit her old house in Mexico. She met the woman who lived there, and the woman introduced her to her daughter. She said (In Spanish, of course), "This is Yolanda," to which the girl replied, "You mean the one the old lady calls for?" The mother explained to my aunt that the girl had dreams about an old Spanish lady calling for someone named Yolanda. REALLY scary.
I have lots more, but those are a good start. What are yours?

I do believe it "spiritual" stuff, not ghosts.
I mean, like the "power of the mind". Ever since I watched a programme called "Deren Brown's Trick or Treat".
I'm very good at controling my mind and that sort of stuff. If you know what I mean.

Well, not scary perhaps, just creepy. You know the "Going my way?" episode with the hitchhiking Satan? Well my father and I were driving down this country road in Florida after my brother's baseball game. (We live in KY, so the road was unfamiliar.) It was a little after midnight when the thick trees just stopped. Right there, was a huge road sign that said "Blah Blah Correntional Facilities This Way" and standing under it was a ragged hitchiker.
I know, not to bad, but my favorite of my own experiences.

That happens to me all the time! But what's weird is, if I realize that I'm thinking about the show, like, "oh, I'm thinking about it, now I'm going to see it," I don't see it. Only when I think about it without paying attention to the fact that I'm thinking about it, if that makes any sense.

When I was about four or five, one of my mom's friends was picking me up from school. We were driving along and all of a sudden I turned to her and said, "You're pregnant." She froze and said, "Why did you just say that?" I just shrugged. She found out that week she was pregnant. I distinctly remember when I told her she was pregnant but I have no idea how it came to me or why I said it, I just remember very clearly looking out the window into the clouds which were parted, and light was coming through, and then I just said it.
Also it happens all the time that I'll start randomly singing a song I haven't heard for years, turn on the radio, and it will be playing.
I love The Twilight Zone so much- one of my favorites is the "It's a cookbook!" episode. I look forward to the marathon they play every year.

Happens all the time to me.
However, I think this can be explained scientifically somewhat - there is a .1 or .2 second lag between something actually happening and when your brain processes it. I think that might have something to do with it. You unconsciously know that someone already happened before it happens, even if it was for that brief of a time.

I kinda get what you mean. Like, your brain doesn't process it right away. So it happens, you take it in, then a message goes off in your brain like 3 seconds later saying it finally understood, which then makes you think it's happened before?
I get them alllllll the time. It's really freaky.

I dream a LOT. Too much. I can compose a whacked-out novel with the dreams I have!
No, but seriously, I dream every second I'm asleep and remember most of them too. They usually involve things I'm stressing out about. :S
I haven't experienced deja vu in a really long time. I think last time was in 2006 when my family had a barbeque and I could've sworn I had experienced the exact same event before. It was freaky.

3 seconds is a long time. It's like you're throwing a baseball, and then 3 seconds later, you actually see your arm throw the ball and feel the sensation of the ball travelling? Nope.
For example, I'm typing this post faster than my brain can recognize. My fingers are typing the words .1 seconds before I consciously realize that my fingers are typing. Scientists aren't really sure how the brain makes up that time difference though, but I'm guessing the brain fills it up with what happened tenth of a second just before, and so on, and then you're able to string together a smooth consciousness.

Yes. I also get on occasion flashes. Just quick little snapshots start going through my head for no reason and each other is accompayned by a flash of light and then the next one so fast I can't register it, but I know I'm seeing something.

I told my mother she was going to have a baby girl when I was seven even though I hated my other sister and didn't want any siblings. The next day she informed my family that she was pregnant.

I always write down my dreams when I wake up in the morning. I need a dream diary really bad.
And my father once said I looked very much like his sister when I was her age. She died when she was two and my father was not much older and I've never seen any photos of her so I can't say, but it's kinda creepy yet cool.
