I'm so sad now! That's just not right. Tragic too... Crying or Very sad
abbeycat

I saw it pop up on myspace and thought someone was in on a sick joke, I am so sad now, as I googled it to see the full story.

Tigress

Someone PMed me last night and told me and I thougth that it was a bad joke too but then they gave me a link and I just couldn't hardly believe it. I didn't want to believe it. Then today it's all over the news and it is so unreal.

All I can think of is poor Terri and the kids. Crying or Very sad Yes may he rest in peace and may his family be in peice also. Well miss you Steve.
Matthew

Not to make light of the subject...
but Crikey.

Yes this is terrible news, but like everyone has said, his best friend included, he died doing something he loved. It is sad he leaves behind two small children and his wife, but im sure they wont let his memory be forgotten if we could ever possibly forget him. He did so much for the animals of this world and Australia especially, men like him are few and far between its a shame he was taken so early from the world. God Bless him RIP.
Mungostoffelees

He was a total legend and amused me immensly, I shall miss the guy and his legendary prorgammes!
Pounce

I liked the guy but it wasn't too surprising. I thought he too often took some incredible risks. Stingrays are dangerous but not aggressive so his guard may have been down and he got too close.
Nemi

Crikey.

My only comforting thought on the matter is that's probably the most suiting manner for his death... doing what he loved to do. It wasn't in a lame car wreck, or plane crash, but in the middle of exciting work he loved to do. Mind, I'm not going to say the timing was good. Fourty-four is a horrible age for someone's life to end.

Blah.

Poor guy. Poor guy's family.
enkeli-kitten

Whoaaaa...that's so sad. So wierd too, apparently only 17 people have recorded as dying from a stingray, apparently he died because it was like being stabbed in the heart.

I was in Maths when I heard he'd died. One of the boys sitting in front of me screamed it out around the end of class, everyone thought he was just joking (even I thought he was joking).
But then I got home that night after Drama and saw it on every channel.
Rest in Peace...Rest in Peace...
MademoiselleMusicals

I'm sure his work will be remembered. RIP Steve, you critter wrestling man.

This may sound callous, but I think it would've been almost the way he'd have wanted to go. Folken like that are never destined to die peacefully in their beds.
Hope his family's bearing it.

Exactly my thoughts (which are on the first page).

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Awww, that's not cool. I loved Steve Irwin. Man, I'm really going to miss ...*mod edit* ...him...

Wow... and that is actually the first and 3rd thought going through my mind at that post.

The second is that the mods are going to have to have a field day on the evil one dealing with a post that was actually so bad as to make him post again on M.Net.

No offence...

How much of an Mod edit: *cut* do you have to be and how much of a Mod edit: *cut* as well to actually say those words?

You know for a fact that what you are about to say is entirely offensive to more than one (and in many cases - Many) people.

Mod edit: *cut*

A man dies and you are both thankful that it happened and so ignorant and self asborbed that you can conceive that this opinion could be not offensive as long as you post you arent meaning to offend people.

How exactly did you even learn to type in english if you are stupid enough to think it is ok to post something like that?

Whether you had issues with him, his shows, his personality or what not, anyone short of frelling Rainman can understand that what you posted was guarentee'd to offend most posters here. Like him or not, respect for the dead (atleast for a couple weeks and then all bets are off) and those that did like him is only the most basic of human curtesies.

As such you placed yourself on a level of value which your opinions should be based on. Even one as bad as I have more decorum that to do something that base (and look at my history - or ask a mod - I have low standard as to what is a valid target - hell if you read an unedited post of this, it will be a nice hint and i'm actually keeping this semi clean in respect to others here (as well as mods I know will have to cut it to ribbons to keep on here.. Sorry, but you know I gotta be what I am)

Just for posting such a uncaring insensitive and useless peice of total crap, you are below even the long time trolls here as they at least accept that thier opinions will cause harm while you pretend that you can apologize in the same line and that makes it all peachy.

Welcome the the catagory of Mod edit: *cut* . Not only are you a totally annoying pain in the Mod edit: *cut* , but you are too lame to even understand just how bad off you are.
Moongewl

"No offense"--the phrase that people think they can use to exonerate themselves of all responsibility for anything that follows it.

Celebrating someone else's death is, in my and quite a lot of other people's opinion, wrong. Particularly when it was someone who simply happened to be an odd celebrity. He wasn't Hitler or anything, you know.

That said, Creol, your post was a bit much. I'm not blaming you, and I agreed with quite a lot of it, but whatever.
