NY Trip!!!I had to come on here and brag.
Last night we had our first trip meeting. My show choir is going to New York next summer and I got a basic schedule.
It includes:
Tavern on the green
Statue of liberty tour
Radio city music hall tour
Madame Tussaud's wax museum on 42nd street
Ground zero, Little Italy, and Chinatown
4 Broadway shows(2 of our choosing)
Hudson River midnight cruise
2-3 hour long performance at Jazz at Lincoln Center- Allen Room
Performance at St.Paul's Chapel
We will be there a total of six days.
I hope I get to meet some of the performers.
When the group went last, they got backstage tours of all the shows.
They even met Eden Espinosa!
I am very excited out of of my mind!
Updates to come.

Sounds like a really fun trip to look forward to!
I went to Madame Tussaud's back in January when I was in NYC. It's really cool!

That's great! I used to be in showchoir...What showchoir are you a part of?

I was a part of the tour once...when I was auditioning in the Music Hall for the vocalists for their Christmas show...All of the sudden, I see a tour group go by...They were all pointing like, "LOOK, ETHEL! These are real unemployed NYC ACTORS!!!!!"

Honestly, the only way I like to go through Madame Tussaud's is when I'm drunk...which makes it a lot more fun...But you're a high school student, so totally disregard what I just said! LOL!
It's a VERY touristy thing to do, but if you're with the right group of people, it's fun!

"What show choir are you part of?"
I am in the Greenville High School Wavaires. We are from a tiny town called Greenville, Ohio.
Sports, drama, etc.. at our school are not amazing. However, we are considered one of the best choral programs in the state, and are known throughout the country.

I am not trying to bring a thread back from the dead, but,
We finally got to choose what shows we are going to see!
The whole group will be seeing both Wicked and Mary Poppins.
I chose Phantom of the Opera and the West Side Story revival as the other two I will see.
In case POTO or West Side closes before next summer, I picked Young Frankenstein and Lion King as my backup choices.
On another note, we will also be performing at St. John's cathedral.
I can't wait for next summer. We had Wavaire camp last week, and we have a lot of great material for the coming year.
More updates to come!
