This reminds me of those Goosebumps books where you can choose which path to take.

I took like six tries plus some back tracking/cheating, but I caught him...although, before I back tracked to catch him, there was some weird thing where I "became" the killer...I wasn't caght...I just said "Catch me when you can" and laughed maniacally...it confused me.

It was a fun game though.
