Hey, this is super late, but if it still helps...
I played Nicely Nicely last year, and the highest written note is a high Bb. Its towards the end at the last "Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down, you're rocking the boat". Its sort of optional, and theres a high A in there too, but since I lean more towards the baritone side of things, I sang it the way its written elsewhere in the song, with the highest note as an F. Even in some professional recordings, Nicely doesnt always go up to the Bb. As for the rest of the song, theres alot of high F's and G's, and the high note held at the end is an F. Hope this helps! |

On the other end, do you know what the lowest written note is? I've always had a high-pitched voice for a guy and I have nothing useful below an E or F. Thanks! --Chris |

Well i could'nt find my Fugue For Tinhorns sheet music, but in all his other stuff (Guys And Dolls, Sit Down, and Oldest Established) the lowest he goes is F, sometimes an E in choral work. According to MTI, though,
http://www.mtishows.com/show_casting.asp?ID=000040 he gets to a D flat, which must be in Fugue, but thats almost half spoken, so you'll be fine. |
