Nice She Ain't

I know the reason that they cut this great song out* (Jack Klugman couldn't sing), but has it been included in any subsequent productions? If they didn't, they should have! I think Herbie deserved to have his own song!

*If anybody doesn't know what I'm talking about, it's included as a bonus track on the OBC CD.
Salome

it was cut not because they felt Klugman couldnt sing but because Klugman felt uncomfortable trying to sing a solo. after rehearsing it a few times he turned to Sondheim and Styne and very nicely said "You can take this song and shove it up your ass!"

I love that story. lol

and no..its never been included. wisely i think. it would slow down the plot in that scene.

What scene did it appear in?
Salome

after Rose and herbie sing "you'll never get away from me" Rose leaves after taking the silverware. the waiter asks herbie "Where did your nice lsy freind go"..then he goes into the song.

What about that song the girls sing as a bonus on the OBCR? Momma's Talking Soft?

I thought maybe Salome would have answered this before me, but she can correct my analyzation if she wants. "Momma's Talking Soft" was cut because the staging called for both girls to sing it on top of a high staircase, which supposedly frightened them. The song lives on somewhat in "Rose's Turn" when Rose sings "Momma's talking loud..."

Was "Momma's Talkin' Soft" ever included in a revival? Also, instead of cutting the number entirely, why couldn't they have simply altered the staging so they didn't have to sing it at the top of a staircase?
