New Python Musical?I was told by a friend recently that there is talk of a new Python musical. I though maybe they just meant Spamalot, but they insisted that there was to be a new one.Anyone heard similar tales? Or is this a complete fib? |

Theres no way they could do one for 'The Meaning of Life', can you imagine what a mess that would be? But i like the idea of a 'Life of Brian' musical, but they couldn't us 'Always look on the Bright Side of Life' which would suck | ||

That's true! I'd totally forgotten that!
Oh well, I hope they use some of the London cast then... |

Based on the critics and attendance, you shouldn't use that as your role model. |

I think I know exactly which members who are thinking of or at least...which member. *wink wink* And I agree 200%!!! I have a feeling if they DO make a movie version of Spamalot they'd probably most likely get Tim Curry, right? And perhaps Christopher Sieber since they originated their roles on bway and west end. As for the other leads I wonder.....I haven't seen another cast but I do hope they do take certain ones from the London cast cuz they were just FABULOUS!!!![/i] |

I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about, I would definatly want Chris Sieber as Galahad, but I'm not sure about Tim Curry... ::hides from masses of attack:: Don't get me wrong, he was fabulous on Broadway, but he's done it so much he only seems to be going through the motions now. I wonder what Simon Russel Beale is like? |

There's Plenty of Material
My favorite Python song is the Galaxy Song which is nothing short of brilliant. I'd love to see it in a musical. (It would need a VERY large stage.) How about an "intelligent alien" or time traveler from the future who travels to Earth only to come in contact with dozens of Python sketches? Sort of a "Hitchhikers Guide to Earth". The only problem I foresee would be how to resuscitate the audience from laughing so much. |

I don't care who gets cast in the Spamalot movie as long as Christian Borle, David Hyde-Pierce, and Sara Ramirez stay! |
